55Angel was not yet ready to open his yard to people, but was very accommodating and allowed us to use it.
The fence is solid and trustworthy. He has a beautiful pond and I have a dog who loves water, so that was tricky.
Huge, grassy yard with spaced out trees for shade.
Ample parking in gravel after passing through a gate. Your car is also inside the fenced area so after closing gate, dogs are free to roam.
Tricky to find location so be sure to get directions - not from Google.
I would love to go back to see what he has planned for the space, and would certainly redirect doggy play further from the pond.

55Great spot with lots of room to roam. National forest to explore….areas around the house to wander and throw a ball. Robyn was wonderful in communicating. Yes, it’s off the beaten path but well worth it!! Tennille B.

55Today was our first visit and we had a fantastic time. We were greeted by the host which was appreciated as first time guests. The drive to the property was beautiful, and it was very easy to find. There’s a large parking area to the right as you near the house by the wood shed. The combination of private property and state land made the exploring opportunities feel endless. I made mental notes of many other areas we will adventure into next time. There was fresh water set out for my dogs which was great since we went through what I brought pretty quickly. There is a large area around the property that is mowed if you don’t want to walk in taller grasses. The wild areas do have plants with little burs (which is to be expected) if you don’t mind having to brush those out later, as I do not. There are narrow paths used by animals which is excellent for sniffing. We saw many signs of deer, coyotes, and owls. Wonderful! And the birds we heard and saw today were: Say’s Phoebe, Pygmy Nuthatch, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Mountain Chickadee, Cooper’s Hawk, Mourning Dove, California Quail, American Goldfinch, Chipping Sparrow, Raven, and Black-billed Magpie.
My very energetic Aussies are tired out and happy, so it was a perfectly successful trip and a wonderful addition to our morning walk routine.

55This Sniffspot was everything I hoped for! John was very welcoming, showed us around the land, and was so accommodating. Sirius (my dog) absolutely loved running around and exploring the beautiful grounds, and actually enjoyed playing in the water, which he normally avoids! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 55This was our first time at this spot but it won't be our last. My dogs had a blast chasing each other, romping in the creek and exploring the trails. The space is away from all but one quiet country road and has natural barriers, so I never worried about the dogs escaping. The owner was very helpful and showed us the lay of the land when we arrived. My dogs were very interested in the farm animals when we crossed their pasture to get to the spot, but the animals were mellow and basically ignored the dogs. This is a really beautiful spot and well worth the time to get there. Victoria M.

55Always our favorite spot not just for how great it is for the dogs but because the hosts are genuinely two of the nicest people ever. (My two year old threw her arms around John’s neck while I was losing the dogs back up into my car). And their gaggle of farm animals are friendly and sweet. The perfect place!Mollyrose D.

55Such a great place for the dogs to run around. We loved that it had trails with a forested area and a creek below for them to cool off in. John was very friendly, and led us in through the front way but also let us know in the future there was parking in the back. Great place and area, will be back! Savannah M.

55This place is truly a retreat for dogs and their owners : well planned and cared for trails run through the whimsical forrest , it is fun to discover cozy benches hidden by the creek. Watching the farm animals from afar is amusing and relaxing.
We especially appreciate warm welcome by the owners, and our dog does not want to leave , when its time, therefore we keep coming back . Thank you, John and Stephanie! Mila V.

55My new favorite sniffspot! Absolutely tranquil and beautiful property. Very well cared for and the owner was incredibly nice and helpful. Jitterbug LOVED it and had fun sniffing noses with a goat and turkey. The farm animals are incredibly sweet (and cute!). If your pup reacts to farm animals, ask if you can park in the alternative sniffspot parking. We will be back…likely many times! Carol W.

55My Border Collies didn’t stop smiling the entire time they were here! I’m so thankful for hosts like this that are so generous to share their little slice of heaven with the pups! This is by far my favorite sniff spot. Something for everyone. But for me and my pups, it was being able to do what we love most, hike around some quiet trails knowing we wouldn’t be charged by some unruly off leash doggo. Super peaceful! And that river is just an awesome bonus. I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting the owner but I hope to next time. They seem like amazing folks. Alise R.

FAQ about our East Wenatchee dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 92% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the East Wenatchee area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 4 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 1 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
