Note for dogs with big feelings about other dogs: There was a peaceful, unbothered neighbor dog visible through the fence and the fence may have the occasional loose board, so just keep them off that part of the fence line if your dog is prone to charge and bark at fences like my derpy boy. The yard is big enough that it was easy to redirect my pups to another area so it wasn’t a big deal at all. Melissa M.

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
