55Such a cool SniffSpot! We visited this place a few times last year and it was nice but was a little small for us. But I just realized that they recently expended the space, and it now feels like it’s twice the size it used to be! There’s much more rocks and levels to climb and explore, and they’ve even added a table and bench. Great place to visit on a hot day because there is plenty of shade. Just wanted to note that passing cars are a bit more noticeable now that the fencing is closer to the street, but the street is generally pretty quiet so it didn’t take away from our experience at all. We’ll definitely be adding this location back into to our rotation! Michiko W.

55Our visits haven’t been as frequent lately but when we’re able to take the kids out, this is a favorite. We have a ball of energy that loves running and flying up/down the boulders and our more mellow dog that’s just as happy sniffing and “marking”. It brings us joy watching them here. Debbie W.

555+++ stars!! Super fun place for our dogs. Big boulders for dogs to jump and explore on, reminded me of hiking in Desolation Wilderness. Super secure, clean, lots of shade, lovely, quiet neighborhood. Terrain nice for paws, providing great opportunities to dig!! Will be back very soon!!!Melody B.

55The area is small, shaded, fully enclosed, clean and has lots of large boulders. My introvert, afraid of the world, reactive dog was definitely worried and looking out at the road/neighborhood but then she raced all around the boulders and even got on top of them. We only spent about 15 min but I call it a success. I’m hoping slowly introducing her to safe outdoor areas will do wonders for her confidence. We didn’t see any other dogs but there was a kid across the street howling towards us. I liked that she observed without a major freak out. Great training opportunity for us in a safe environment. 55A beautiful spot!
The only downside for us? Our two Husky girls like to runnnn and this isn’t the place for a straight shot to an hour of non stop zoomies. 😆 Having said that, they loved the “sniffing” around to check out the place. Sometimes a slower pace is what they need also. For me, 5 stars for the beautiful scenery and the cool photo shots I was able to catch of my girls up on the rocks. Nichol J.

55Easy to find, clearly marked, plenty of toys. I felt totally safe and like my dog was not going to find a way out. We had such a great time racing around and on the rocks. After just an hour he is wiped! We will be back. Danielle B.

55This was such a fun spot. A lot of different things to explore. My pup was so tired at the end. The trees were great and provided a lot of shade. We hope to visit again soon. Brielle L.

55An owner who truly sees the happiness in providing outdoor space to our furry family members. Thank you Mimi!
Beautiful backyard with ample shade and an inviting pool. My yellow Labrador’s new “happy place.” She was all smiles from fetch and running laps on the lawn to swimming in the pool. We can’t wait to return…Sara S.

FAQ About Granite Bay Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?

All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 3% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Granite Bay area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?

If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 256 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby.
