We believe dogs' mental stability has to do with its natural pack behavior. Their instinct is to follow a leader who can provide: 1. Leadership 2. Corrections, and 3. Love. Secondly, I believe dogs need daily exercise to stay calm and mentally stable. Destructive behaviors or addictions show up when dogs have pent up energy from lacking of exercise. Our experience showed us that, “a tired dog IS a good dog”. Lastly, dogs sometimes have fear towards unfamiliar objects, sounds, or places. We believe in training dogs to overcome their fear so that fear does not eventually turn into aggression. Safety, trust & environment: Your dog is boarded in a temperature controlled indoor building (see our photos). In addition, our big backyard has plenty of tree shades, an overhang, and a spacious patio for dogs to hangout. Our backyard is fenced and secure. For safety reasons, dogs are crated every night.

This spot was just perfect, I have 2 rescue dogs one is very anxious and was a bit worried about being able to hear/see dogs walking by, but he was so preoccupied with all the activities and spacious land that he was not one bit concerned. This place is very clean and even had water and snacks for dogs and humans. Loved the shaded sitting area, definitely recommend.

as usual, “a great time was had by all!”. we love this place and it’s our go-to sniff spot! there were some new jumps in the agility equipment collection which is a big part of the appeal of this place. the dogs get bored with fetch and the agility equipment, although we are not involved in the sport or the community, provides something to work on and improve. the dogs love it as much as we do!

This sniffspot lies in a nice residential area. Loved how you can drive up to the access gate and go right in. The lot is large and has a nice mix of things for dogs to engage in. It also has several areas for people to sit while their dogs play (covered patio, treehouse, large tree with stump seating). I do recommend you bring your own toys, there are a few things there but you'd do better bringing your own. The host had dog treats, human treats, dog bowls, poop bags, poop scooper, and lots of water (for dogs). Very well equipped. Lot was clean and well maintained.

This was an amazing place to go! My dog Moose is reactive and it can be hard but coming here was amazing for him. He was able to run off leash, run as fast as he could! He loved it. Scooby enjoyed all the smells and room to run his zoomies. The fencing is secure for a dog that won't try to escape, but I wouldn't trust an escape artist in this spot. Nice quiet area where my pup could explore and stretch his legs. We will be back!

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?

All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
