The Happy Canines in West Covina

The space includes a fun dog obstacle course, a real fire hydrant, and a ball pit available on some days. Guests are welcome to relax on benches or outdoor seating. This yard is also used for our small dog daycare and boarding guests, so it’s designed with dogs in mind and sterilized between each visit.

The pool is only about 3/12 feet deep so you can stand and play with your dog. The yard and the pool area are completely fenced but have a common gate to combine both areas. There is an area where you can rinse off your dog when done with pool.

Homemade human and doggie treats are available most of the time. 🙂 🐾🐾 We do have nighttime lighting and will open a late evening reservation for you upon request. Outward Hound Level One available as an experience during your stay and can be booked as an extra. Doggie Painting (let your pup’s inner Picasso come out!) is also available and can be booked as an extra. Birthday props available to borrow and listed under “extras”.

Silverlake / Rampart Village Private Dog Park

Fully fenced backyard by Sunset Blvd in Silverlake. Close to DTLA, Hollywood, etc. Large backyard area with astroturf grass, area with mulch dirt, etc. There’s 3 levels so it’s a great place for dogs to run and jump around. Plenty of shade from trees and lounge chair seating for the pup’s humans. Please keep in mind: there are a number of stairs to get to the backyard area (see pictures!). The backyard also has levels that are not fenced and there are different types of terrain in the spot (astroturf, rocks, dirt, etc).

My dog (4 y.o./f mutt, 15 lbs, and very social) is generally inside the house with me, as I work from home, and she can come out to play with your dog if you're looking for a playmate. If not though and your dog prefers solo sniffs, that's okay too! We'll stay inside and give you full privacy. ☀️ Summer note: We lower our sprinkler usage in the hotter months to conserve water. With that, parts of our lawn die back, and the grass is a bit patchy in the summer. During this season, the lawn is not as pristine as I’d like it to be. Let’s just say: I will not be winning any Better Homes & Gardens awards. 😂 Alas, such is life in drought-prone So Cal! I can tell you one thing though: The doggos never seem to mind a bit of patchy grass!
