Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek located off Highway 64 in Mocksville! 4.5 acres of fully fenced (woven mesh wire and post/rail 5.5ft to 6ft high) with trails, woods, field, and plenty of room to run and explore! Open the front gate and drive into the secure parking area. ***CLOSE AND LATCH THE GATE BEHIND YOU BEFORE GETTING YOUR DOGS OUT OF THE CAR!*** Walk through gate into the space from the secure parking area. This area has wooded trails as well as cleared areas. Densely wooded areas and thickets all around. TICK PREVENTION IS A MUST! There are no pesticides or herbicides used here. Only natural horticulture vingear for spot weed control. This area is located beside Bear Creek and when the creek is high or after a good rain IT WILL BE MUDDY on the right side of the property! Dry creekbed located across the back of the property. **The Creek is NOT accessible from the fenced property** -Water hose on site for use. Dog shower/bath area to the right of the shed with dog wash hose attached, shampoo, and wash shammy. Or you may bring your own bath supplies! Feel free to give your dog a shower/bath! ***Just added dog pool*** For use at no extra charge! Fill up/use if you'd like! (It's been stored for the fall/winter...but if you would like to use it...please let me know at time of booking) -Dog water bowl, dog brush, toys, treats, human and dog tick spray provided. All located in large deck box inside the gate. -Bring doggy towels in case of mud or bathing! -Porch swing and seating areas with a shed deck, gas grill, picnic table and hammock at the top of the property. -Chair/table area at the bottom of rock trail. At the end of the cleared field is a 2 single seat swing set and hammocks by the bridge. **Stick Library** -**NEW** we have expanded the field area to fence in the hill! Slys Peace Trail

Located in the foothills, the Slys Peace trail was created for dog stimulation. The trail starts at the lower end of the pasture and follows the creek meandering through a rhododendron forest. Situated at the base of 100 acres of wooded ridge land, the hike offers a wilderness experience customized to your comfort zone. There are multiple trails to accommodate your level of exercise. The full experience will require crossing the creek multiple times and is recommended for those with hiking experience. Trails are easy to follow with multiple exits that lead out to the pasture. This is dog heaven. Let your dog be a dog. To locate the gate entrance watch for the Giant metal horse. His nose points the way. Follow the fenceline a few hundred feet where you will find the gate just before the power line easement. There is now a large Sniff Spot sign securely attached.

Silent H Acres In Morganton

Silent H Acres is almost an acre fenced spot for your dog to go sniffing, running, fetching, and discovering. There are toys to play with (frisbees, tug rope, tennis balls, etc) and sticks to fetch. The grass ranges from 2” mowed, to 4” natural, up to about 12+ inches. A smattering of trees and two sitting areas for you - the gray Adirondack chairs are a bit too heavy to move, but feel free to move the red ones anywhere you would like. ***We will be adding a couple of agility exercise areas for your dog in the next few days. Toward the front of the field, I have mowed a curvy type of track in case you want to work on guided leash training. For you, we will keep a track around the perimeter of the fence mowed so you can use it for a walking track. PLEASE NOTE, the electric fence is DISCONNECTED. Welcome! 3.5 Acre Open Pasture. Right now its VERY basic. We are looking to add on amenities like a completely enclosed area as well. Right now, there is a fence but it serves as a property boundary. This fence would not a contain a dog who does not have recall. The wire is electric fence wire. The power is turned off to it. We have chickens. They will be enclosed and not a bother to you and your dog! more then likely you will hear our rooster. The coop is not inside the sniffspot. We have two dogs. They will be kept inside. They may bark at your arrival but you will not see them during your visit. There is an in-ground fence for them. But, we do not plan on ever having them out while you are visiting. Welcome to "Koda's Field Fun" (10+ acres)

Hi there! Our dog, "Koda," enjoys running through our fields and chasing rabbits and deer. I came across Sniffspot by accident and thought what a great idea so others can enjoy our area. I also have two children in college, so an extra revenue stream is nice, too! Basically, you will have access to our yard and the two fields we own. It is unfenced but a very safe area off the main road. Your pup will enjoy running through the fields and chasing wildlife. Koda and i walk it several times a day - it's great to run or walk while getting those steps in! The walking path around the fields is mowed weekly, and the property is indicated by markers. There are woods on one side that your pup will love to explore. Some of the woods are more open for you and your best friend to explore together. There's a remnent of a pond through the woods in one spot that still gets some water sometimes. It's more of a big watering hole or mudhole. So there is a chance your pup might get wet if they explore that area and there'sbeen recent rain. You will almost always see deer while walking the path, especially in the mornings! If you visit during the right months, there are plenty of blackberries outlining the walking path. You're welcome to pick what you want. The fields are planted right now so Koda enjoys running and jumping through the grain (see if you can find the white tail deer in one of my photos!) but at times the fields will be cut shorter. I will always put Koda inside so you can have privacy; however, if you ever want a doggie play date, I'm sure she'd be up to it! As I am a new host, I am still working on creating signs and coming up with more creative ideas so that we can become your favorite Sniffspot! I don't know how popular our spot will be since there is no fencing, but if it is, I am excited to make it bigger and better! I work remotely, so I will put out fresh water for you and your pets to enjoy before your reservation begins.
