An accidental free glance has now turned into our FAVORITE play place for our pup, Spanner (half lab half American pit) needing to stretch and use his swimming legs! Saturday we enjoyed hiking through the trails and throwing balls throughout the different areas (land and lakes). Amazing!! We had the most wonderful time at Paws dog park! Our husky, Neo, loved loved loved it!! He loves to swim and explore, but doesn’t get to do it often since we live in a city. You can tell that the owners love dogs as much as we do. This is an awesome property, with trails to explore and multiple swimming spots for the pup. There were so many thoughtful inclusions for both dogs and humans: water bowls, treats, toys, bottled water, shades and chairs in every play spot, dog bath, outhouse, etc. The rainbow bridge was so sweet. My husband and I recently got a pup from a rescue who is very timid and anxious around new people and dogs. PAWs has been a wonderful place for us to take her without worrying about dogs or people coming up to us while she explores. It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
