Explore a unique piece of history while enjoying the tranquility of large, private, well-appointed land, located next to an original stonework trestle constructed in the 1850s for the Erie Railroad. Your dogs will love wander along the abandoned railroad bed, trekking through the shale-bottomed stream, or relaxing while overlooking the water. While mostly shallow, the stream deepens at points for short swims. Your dog will love the rocks and sticks and playing in the water. The site is approximately 3 acres with a quarter mile marked trail. There are three large tables with plenty of stools, this spot is a great place to have a picnic while your dog plays. The wifi works well here too, well enough to live-stream.

Our farm is located on 100 acres of beautifully scenic property and we have opened 26 acres of that space for you to explore. Our property is on predominantly flat elevation with trails, multiple fields and roughly 7 acres of forest. While the forest can be dense in spots, it is very walkable and presents a lovely spot to hike through. We have 5 ponds as well as a stream that runs the width of our property and travels through the forest. We have a myriad of wildlife that you may see or encounter during your adventures here. These could include (but are not limited to) great blue herons, muskrats, rabbits, geese, ducks, deer and coyotes. We do have livestock and a guardian dog on the property (they are fully fenced) as well as family pets so please respect their space and ensure your dogs are leashed anytime you are nearing the barn, paddock or barnyard areas.

Ride up and park at the guest parking beside with the red jeep, and walk your leashed puppers walk towards the corner of Highway 6 and Concession 4 West. As you walk past our gardens, woodlots, and ponds you will get familiar with our surroundings and other fences as per the map. There is access to the forest and two ponds on the property. The highway is the right direction. After crossing through the tree line, you have reached the private access to the 6-acre field. Four-foot tall fencing is installed for your security. Enjoy seeing natural landscapes, trees, and privacy. Have fun, play catch, train and let your animal have unleashed freedom! We have uploaded a printable "safety map" for each season, that contains a legend for your use and the status of the park. Note the fire pit is not available during the winter season. *WINTER 2025 UPDATE* 2024 was a wonderful year! Fence gap at the Pond: Our neighbor has granted us permission to install a fence segment on their property to close the fence gap at the pond. Once installed, we can declare 100% fenced in spot! 2. Entrance signage: We will be adding a main sign at the parking space which include a print out of the Sniffspot map, extra doggy bags, spare water and garbage with a mini roof/shelter. 3. Directional signage: we will be adding posts with signs and directions that will be installed throughout the property in the summer. 4. Rough Terrain: Local farmer has started. More details below. Once completed, we will update the map and remove the applicable note(s) below: Please note the following are TEMPORARY changes for 2025. We have rented the field to a young entrepreneurial farmer who will be planting organic soy beans this spring. In return, they will clean and “work” the field. This means cutting and clearing the entire field (except for the ditch line and few tagged trees), removing debris, making holes, filling holes, ploughing and leveling the field. This will eliminate the risk of slip, trips and falls. We have asked the farmer to keep a 10-20 foot perimeter buffer between the fence and neighbours and we will be cutting/maintaining that trail. Once the soy beans are planted in June sniff spot walkers will be asked to keep their dogos on the perimeter trail to avoid crop damages. Therefore, we will be reducing the price of the park to $5 until harvest (September/October 2025). You will be welcome to continue to use the spot and the leased area between the spot and the parking lot. We are excited because with a bit of sacrifice and time, our field will be level a safer and better place to walk. We will then be able to maintain trails and create a space that will accommodate the Sniffspot and our personal wants. If you have any questions, please let me know. If you look at the photos you can see the locations of the gate on the main photo or on “safety map” (see photos and captions). We have more fencing on other parts of the property outside of our dog park in case your dog does not have good recall. Refer to the safety map (see photos).

The piece of creek is bordered by Northrup, Transit and the bridge on Southwestern Boulevard. Feel free to explore through the woods in solitude, it is a 10 minute walk down to the creek. I have an unfenced yard, so please have your furry friend on a leash if they are not leash trained. Once you get into the woods, you are more than welcome to go off leash. This is definitely a walk for boots or hikers. If it has been raining, the trail down will be muddy. The walk to the slope is wooded with many obstacles but definitely walkable ducking here and there under a branch.

We keep our animals in their coops when fur friends are visiting. ***please note; we require notice at least one day in advance if the animals are to be kept in their coops. Otherwise we let them free range*** The creek has an easy entry location. It’s shallow water at that spot. Deeper water in other areas. Our property is sprayed using a food grade insect deterrent. Plus our chickens free range when there are no dogs around. This means very minimal tick sightings. We have children, so expect some toys around. If you’re bringing children, they’re welcome to play on the play structure. (Pending parental approval and supervision). Plenty of muskoka chairs to relax in while your fur baby plays. The road isn’t right beside the area where fur friends run, however it is accessible from the yard. If you have a dog that’s a flight risk or likes to chase cars, this isn’t the right spot for you.
