Our large, private yard features ample grass as well as a concrete patio to help keep your dog’s nails filed! Our yellow lab’s favorite spot is in the back, by the wheelbarrow and some logs. That’s where he does his best “sniffing”! Please feel free to have a seat at our glass-top picnic table and use the umbrella to block any sun. If you’d like to sit on one of our comfy swivel chairs, we just ask that you re-cover it when done. The cushions are super thick and we want to keep them nice for our guests! We have tennis balls and other toys and please feel free to use the sprinkler if your dog enjoys it!

Come get away from the city and visit us at Sweet Paws Retreat for our private, three acre dog park. We have a large, secluded area right next to the Richard Young Forest Preserve!

Area is unfenced- Front area home to chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, and horses. Poultry is free range so dogs must be chicken friendly or off leash trained to “leave it”. Recommend using e collars if still working on off-leash obedience. Dogs and owners welcome to use swim platform, pedal boat, and to take a swim.

Please note: -There is a swimming pool but generally guests do not use it unless specifically cleared with me. -sprinkler may be available for use on hot days -I have 4 pet chickens that will be contained in a secure coop/run; guests are welcome to say “hello” to them, but please do not to enter the enclosure/shed/coop. Absolutely NO DOGS in the run or coop at any time, failure to adhere to policy will result in you being asked to leave immediately. Adirondack chairs and seating area with shade sail pergola available for your enjoyment. There is also a forest preserve area at the end of my street that backs up to the Dupage River; it is not enclosed in any way, but free to the public if you would like to go down to the river.

Booking Available! Fully fenced 5 acre well maintained property. Multiple different options for fenced areas adjustments with cattle gate access/closure. Fences have proven to keep chickens and goats in without issue. We have our chickens and goats in a separate fenced area (see photos) that can be opened up to larger fenced area, the “spot.” The “spot” has a large pond for pet swimming in fenced area- pond does have an aerator to keep water moving, lotus flowers, frogs, fish, etc. The pond is surrounded by rock which transitions to a sand base a few feet into the water. The pond gets quite deep towards the middle. A sprinkler or hose (available for additional cost) can used for pet water play/bathing. Please remember to bring your pets towels and any necessary bathing essentials with you. Bonfire pit (potentially available- weather dependent- for additional cost). We have a large bonfire pit on the property built in rock. There are some larger rocks surrounding the bonfire pit and pond that can be used to sit and relax on. Wood is available on property for bonfires. Relax at the picnic table that overlooks the pond and bonfire pit. Or feel free to bring a foldable chair to find your perfect spot either under one of the many trees on the property or around the bonfire.

Pack a lunch to enjoy on one of our picnic tables along the way or simply take in the peacefulness of the forest and wildlife. Listen to the squirrels chase each other in the tree tops, the woodpeckers pecking away in a nearby tree, or the geese honking at a nearby pond. Wildlife that are commonly seen on visits include deer, rabbits, wild turkeys, chipmunks, a beautiful array of wild birds, and much more. *Our terrain is uneven as it goes through woods. If you have trouble with balance or walking, please reconsider your visit to our property for your safety. Trails are kept clear, but raspberry and blackberry bushes present thorns, please use caution with these prickers. ** Our spot is fully fenced, however if your dog is not command trained we do not recommend letting them off leash. Hello little ones and dog owners. I actually have a 8,241 square feet yard size. I would say that is medium size that is gated all around as you see in the pictures exactly. Lots of room for running around, digging space, explore and have fun! I do have a fire pit in the middle of the yard and a patio deck for dog owners to sit and relax. I don't have much playing toys, but I have plenty of sticks and a ball that can be bitten and thrown. Don't worry, I can buy more toys or you can supply your dog's own favorite toys. I don't have any dog's. There are neighborhood dogs in their respective homes that may bark, but don't worry they can't jump over their fence or anything from their owners homes. If you would like little humans to play with dogs just let me know, if not the space will be yours alone. You can park in front of the house or in the driveway. Approximately 1 acre fully fenced (5 ft) area on 3-acre property. This spot is for the area contained within the black chain link fence. Parking available on barn drive. Table, chairs, water, shade.

Please book at least 24 hours in advance. My yard has some shade and a place for you to sit. Water and treats will be provided. I have some beehives on the property. Please, stay away from those. The yard is not fenced. You can take your dog off the leash if your dog obeys your commands.

About half of our 3/4 acres is fully fenced in. Hose and electric outlets are outside the fenced area but can easily reach across the fence. We have a designated toilet area for our dog, separate from the fenced area that you would be welcome to use if desired.
