55This is a really cool spot with access to two creeks and ample area to hike around. We brought three poodles and they had a blast swimming and running.
Fair warning: there is livestock all around this lot, so your dog needs GOOD recall. My boys have good recall and came back quickly, but at one point they jumped through the barbed wiring into the neighbor’s yard bc there was a mud pit. It was fine, but another dog might get stuck over there if they ran in. The owners have great communication and have a hose you can use as well. Jocelyn S.

55Loved our time here! Great brush for retrieves, walking paths, and plenty of space. The host was incredibly kind when I had questions about bringing my toddlers and even left out some dog + kid toys for us. We can’t wait to visit again, highly recommend! Emme H.

55My dogs loved this spot. It’s a large open field with grassy paths, a few small wooded paths, and a large creek. Finding the spot was easy, the driveway was pretty rough and bumpy, parking was simple, and complimentary items were provided in the parking area. We forgot a water bowl but were thankful to see that a collapsible bowl had been provided for us. We enjoyed walking around the grassy areas before playing a game of “find it” where we threw a bumper toy into the tall grassy area for the dogs to search for. This was an excellent confidence building exercise for my insecure cattle dog puppy. Happy to report they came out burr free. We didn’t go into the creek but it was very large with some stone platforms. We could see cows in the distance past a barbed wire fence. The sniff spot itself is not fenced in as of 2/17/25 so I would only recommend bringing your dog here if they have a solid recall. There were chickens present at the spot, so if you know your dog has a prey drive I would alert the host so they can make sure to put the chickens up prior to your arrival. We were pleased with the amount of land as there are not many large properties available in the area and we usually have to drive at least 45 minutes to an hour. Victoria H.

FAQ About Palmer Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 14% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Palmer area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
