This is 40 undeveloped, private wooded acres less than 15 minutes from Bellingham and 10 minutes from Mount Baker Highway. There is a long unpaved road to wander on as you adventure deeper into the property. Trails to come, until then, explore as you wish. Enjoy nature’s agility course by wandering at your will. For Pack (more than 3) Pricing, message us for a bigger discount. In the wet season, there is mud at a few low spots on the back trail. Please consider wearing boots for now.

22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dogwash station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. First time visitors get an auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.

Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. *Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the crop areas. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. The perimeter trail is approximately 3.5km. There is short grass, tall grass the dogs can go in and out all over the field in the front and middle of the property. As well as up the hill trail.

Started with a friendly, warm welcome - the woods are so lovely with lots of different trails to explore. Lots of mushrooms out! The dogs had a blast. The cabins look so adorable - I saw one had a dog door. We’ll definitely come back. A really nice day.

Such a great space for a high energy curious pup. Absolutely loved it. Grace was such a welcoming and friendly host, and definitely made sure that we were well taken care of while there, just in case we needed anything. Our dog has never been happier. She sniffed and ran and played ball and then explored some more. There was a wonderful creek, trails through the woods, benches to sit on and soak in the peaceful surroundings. We booked the spot for two hours and were so glad we did. Grace was very friendly and met us outside to show us where to go. The property was great - rustic, lots of places for my 2 beagles (and dachshund mix) to sniff to their hearts content. They have never had freedom to safely explore and follow their nose for their natural instinct, so having somewhere big and open with tons of places to explore while being safely in a fence was so nice. Its just the stimulation their brains needed and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful land!

We absolutely love everything about this spot! The space to play, hikes, and absolute peaceful scenery. We came when this spot first opened and it was great then. Grace has definitely added some awesome improvements as well to the area. Firstly, the sniffspot sign made it easy to find her place. Secondly, the parking area was clearly marked! We came on a muddier day earlier this summer and we’re able to enjoy the space fully though the two hours seemed to go by slowly, this time they passed so quickly! Thirdly, she added some benches which made it so nice to have a seat. My only thing would be remember to bring some bug spray as the mosquitoes were showing themselves this time!

This is one of our new favorite spots. There are so many beautiful trails, a creek, and smells the dogs were busy the entire hour and we wish we had more time to enjoy the peaceful forest. Great hills for fetch to wear them out and then they cooled off wading through the creek. Happy tongues out the whole time. We will be coming back. The area is well fenced. We felt completely safe and secure, but it’s a forest so good recall is nice. There are goats and a horse, but they are enclosed and aren’t visible from the area at the creek where you can unleash.

Oh my, what a wonderful spot! The instructions to get to the spot and where to park were perfect. The host was there to meet us when we pulled up, welcomed us and showed us where to go. She even had written a welcome note for the fence. The spot itself was amazing! Hills, flat areas, trees and forests as well as some sunny mini meadows. A stream for the dogs to splash in at the end of our time. Lots of places to sit while the dogs ran around and played. It had "all the stuff" for a total package experience!

Take the dog/kids, pack a lunch, and enjoy your own private wooded glade. This is a great place - meadow, creek, woods, benches in shade or sun, she-shed and matching he-shed, friendly goats in their pasture, picnic tables, GREAT host. We were there on a hot day and the forest made the temperature perfect. Wear sturdy shoes for the trails. This place is a gem. Fully meshed fencing all around the 9 acres so your dog can't wander off readily. Thank you Grace!

Henry R. Dog, Sunshine, and Lily (the dogs) had such a wonderful time frolicking in the creek and running around the woods. The humans had a great time, too. Our hostess, Grace, welcomed us in person and also with a sweet sign. The horse and goats (fenced in away from the Sniffspot) were adorable. What a lovely place to spend a couple of hours with family and woofs! We only booked an hour, but the next time we will bring a picnic lunch and stay for two. Definately worth a bit of a drive to get there.

What a great spot to explore! I am always a little nervous trying new spots due to my dog's reactivity to people and dogs. This spot was as advertised - fully enclosed and not another dog or person in sight (although we could hear people in the distance). Grace, the host, was fantastic and greeted us at the start while giving our dog the space he needs to be comfortable.

Another great time with the pups. It was hot that day but with all the trees we stayed nice and cool. Perfect day! If you are worried about how your dog will react to the goats, please dont worry. It was a relaxing easy hike with several winding paths among tall old pine trees. It was shaded and cool. especially next to the stream that runs through it. There is a separate fenced area with goats and a horse, which gave our city dog a nice sniffing experience. It was a pleasure for us to walk through the beautiful and quiet mini forest. Grace was a very accommodating host and her communication was excellent. Thanks-- we will be back!

Great fun for all!!! Hiking up and down the paths was like being in our private forest. The creek was refreshing on a warm sunny day. Dogs had the freedom to be dogs with no leashes. Grace was very welcoming and easy to find their place with the SniffSpot signs. We will definitely return.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
