Great yard for my retired racing greyhounds to run in. Checked the fence before I let my girls lose. Nice sturdy secure fencing. My girls really opened up and ran like greyhounds can. They swam in the pond, sniffed the horse poop etc. Wonderful yard for reactive dogs, dogs training for barn hunt, for lure coursing etc. We will definitely be booking Rural Yard again.

My 2 ran like they've never run before. I thought the older one would just follow me around, but he ran full out so joyfully I got tears in my eyes. It's rural, it's a pasture, so much to sniff and explore, it was heaven for us. Carol was an excellent host.

We LOVE coming here! This was our second visit and we will definitely continue to come back. We have 2 dogs and one of them is dog aggressive who has unfortunately been attacked twice by stray dogs on walks so it is always stressful to take her anywhere. This place is completely fenced in and the owner has her dogs put away so we felt extremely comfortable letting our girl run around freely. There is a horse on the property but he is in his own pen and when my dogs went to investigate he kindly let them and went on about his business. My 2 dogs continue to leave happy and tired! There is plenty of space for fetch which is my youngest dogs favorite activity and there is also plenty on the property for the dogs to sniff and explore including a small pond.

Carols sniffspot was awesome! My dogs had a blast running around, sniffing and swimming in the pond. It is rural so there are things like tall grass, bugs etc, BUT Carol warned me in advanced. Carol even came out to introduce herself and show me around the property. We will definitely be back!!

She has a very nice place. Lots of sniffing areas. This was my dogs first visit, he is 20 weeks old, and he had a blast! He is not too fond of the heat and we had a late afternoon appointment, so we didn't stay the whole hour. Carol met us outside and showed us around. She had fresh water available. Jasper will definitely want to come back!

We had a great time on our first visit here. Our dogs loved swimming in the pond and all of the different smells. Carol swiftly showed us everything we needed to know and had fresh water and a trash can for poop bags easily accessible. We will definitely be back with our other dogs!

John’s backyard was amazing!! Honey and Woofles had the best time. We were shown around the space when we first got there, which was very appreciated. John had fresh water for the pups when we got there and everything we could have needed. The fence was all the way around so we didn’t have to worry about the pups. We will definitely be back.

The backyard is awesome - tons of space to run around but also has plenty of shade and lounge spots when you might want a break. John is a fantastic host! He gave me a tour of the backyard to show me everything there was to offer and also had two big bowls of clean water out and ready for the dogs to use! Very much appreciated in the hot Texas summers. I will be booking this spot again!

Absolutely excellent. Our dog absolutely loved this backyard. There are many interesting spots for dogs and people to walk through and hangout. There is a plenty of shade. John had everything you could need. John was a terrific host. He knows how to be around a reactive dog. Thank you John!

Such a big backyard and plenty of space for humans to sit and relax as well 💕 mid morning and it was so hot already but John let me use the water hose to refresh my 🐶 so it was absolutely perfect ! Thank you!

Hermes always has a blast when we visit, he’s a fast guy and there’s so much room for him to run and let loose! Even on the hot hot Texas days I’ll pull out the hose and let him just be a dog getting dirty playing in the water and rolling in the dirt!

We had an amazing visit!! John was so welcoming and gave me a tour so I was comfortable in the space and knew where everything was! Cooper absolutely loved the yard! There were so many spots for him to explore and run in and out of - it was his perfect yard!! I loved how secure it was - Cooper can be an escape artist but everything was securely fenced in!! Plenty of water and amenities! We can’t wait to come back - I highly recommend!!

We had a great visit!! John was extremely welcoming and gave us a tour when we arrived so I knew where everything was and made sure the dogs had plenty of water. The girls had a blast getting to sniff and run around the huge yard, especially weaving in and out of the trails throughout the property. We will for sure be back!!
