Come enjoy a walk thru the woods on a private groomed trail/road. The trail is about a 1/2 mile down to a clear, open area to further enjoy, with a creek and watering hole. Much of the trail is shaded from the forest canopy. Once down by the creek, the temp is about 10 degrees cooler as well. The boundaries of the "spot" are the county road on the top side and the creek on the bottom side. *We require a completed Sniffspot profile with details and pictures of your dog(s) to confirm our guests. *To keep us and all our neighbors safe, NO SMOKING of any kind, for any reason, NO EXCEPTIONS is allowed on property.

Country Run's 58 Acre Private Ranch In Conifer

Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. Come on over a run free on our little slice of heaven! This 2 acre hidden gem is nestled in the middle of town. Stroll along the creek, adventure through the trees or romp in the open field. This property is truly a doggo's paradise! Please park on the street in front of the gate. Stay safe, keep your fur baby leashed until both you and your dog(s) are through the gate. If you don't want a mess, stay away from the cattails as it is VERY muddy (if your dog enjoys a good mud bath, go for it!). Please pick up after yourselves and ENJOY!!!

Take a short scenic trip to the past on Old Stage Road after passing the Cheyanne Zoo. 3 1/2 miles up Old Stage Rd, originally constructed in the late 19th century to provide access to the flourishing mining towns of Victor and Cripple Creek, you will see a parking lot on your right.

Fully fenced, 48” pvc fence (see photos) with wire attached to prevent escape. A small pool for drinking/soaking (water will be changed between dogs). Room to run! The grass natural prairie type grass with some weeds. I do pull all thorny type weeds so there should be no sticker burs, goat heads or foxtails. I have two dogs that I will keep inside during your visit.

Val's 40 acre doggy paradise

40 acres of wildflowers and natural grasses with a natural spring-fed creek, sandy beaches and rolling hills. Fenced along the highway, and on either side, but open everywhere else! I recommend a long leash or lead for escape artists, as the fence is meant for livestock and will not keep in a determined doggo! Come dip your toes in the crystal clear stream with stunning views of Pikes Peak. Ultra private, neighbors would need binoculars to see you! Quick and easy access off the highway, park in the grass next to the red chair and explore with your pup. Parking area is shown in last photo, please do not cross the bridge with your vehicle, but completely free to roam on foot and paw! Please watch for cacti and burrs! Thank you!

Great spot but steep in some areas if you have dogs that aren’t able to climb up or down easily. The walking path is easily doable in flip flops though! Really lovely spot.

Ok, my initial impression was- this is a really pretty site but such a short little hike I wasn't sure it would be a hit with my pup. Well. I was so, so wrong. If my dog were to be writing this review, there would be 10 stars and lots of exclamation marks! She had so much fun running up and down the inclines, pouncing on what I am praying were just field mice (lol). She put on triple the mileage I did and had a smile a mile wide on her little face. The trail is gorgeous and a veritable smorgasbord of sights, sounds and sniffs for the pups- well worth the trip for sure.

Such a wonderful spot! The perfect peaceful mountain getaway for you and your pups. Tanya has poop stations along the trail in case you forget a bag. The trail down isn't too steep and can easily be walked back up. I highly appreciate that Tanya reminded me to bring towels, because the dogs found the water before I knew it was there!

We had an absolute BLAST at The Oregon Trail Sniffspot! The location is absolutely beautiful and it feels like an oasis for your dog (reactive or not!). The trail is a bit steep in spots, but is nicely maintained and marked well. The creek at the bottom was definitely a highlight for our dog. We were impressed by the thoughtfulness along the trail, including poo receptacles, drinking water for the dogs at the bottom near the creek, and toys to play with. The entire location was clean and well kept. A 12/10 experience and we truly can’t wait to bring our dog back again! Additionally, the host was highly communicative and provided clear and helpful instructions for parking and exact location!

We had an amazing time! The directions and sign on the fence made it very easy to find. The location was just as advertised with a nice half mile hike down to a water spot that our pups loved! They also loved exploring the surrounding area and being in nature. The location felt secluded and away from sites or sounds from other people or animals. We would love to come back sometime.

Totally amazing spot ! Easy access and nice and cool for the hot summer. Trail is well kept and easy walk down to the water. Great places to sit! Wish I brought a book I would have stayed even longer! Definitely will be back !

We had so much fun at this spot! Beautiful drive to get there and then a great little trail! The trail itself is fairly short but we walked up and down it a few times and hung out down by the water whilst my pups splashed around. Happily spent our full hour here. Thoughtful touches with poop buckets, water for humans and dogs and some chairs and toys! Lots of great smells for the dogs and so fun for them to be able to run and investigate. We will 100% be back.

A fun trail! Note you are walking downhill to start so conserve some energy on the way up LOL. Recommend trail shoes due to the gravel, but the path is very well maintained. My dog usually listens to me, but I brought a 25 ft leash. Nice touches with the swing and poop drop buckets. Thank you!

Beautiful sniffspot! Our two pups loved the space and when you get to the bottom of the hill it’s the perfect hangout/chill spot to watch your dogs play. Next time we’ll want to book 2 hours opposed to one because they could have easily sniffed and played around for another hour. The walkway is a bit steep so I recommend close toed shoes or even hiking boots, but it was very manageable. We felt very safe and comfortable and the pups loved the creek. 10/10 spot! 🐾

Our second Sniffspot location and its prime real estate for adventure pups. Fully shaded - forest - probably not playing fetch here. We hike leashed with our dogs so this spot is incredibly awesome because we can let them roam as they wish! They are muddy and ready for a bath. They will sleep well tonight. Also, it’s super relaxing to just be out there.

Our pup loved the adventure of The Oregon Trail & so did we!! Our dog loves to hike but almost all trails require a leash, it was great for him to run and play without one! Such a pretty drive to the location (easy to find based on directions given). The trail is well-maintained with bags/buckets for “poochie poos”. At the end of the trail is a treat with a small stream and place for dogs to get in. There are also swings for their human friends and clean water to drink (for humans & dogs). Toys for dogs and First Aid kit also provided! So well planned out and kept up! I can’t believe we didn’t get a single picture! We’ll get some pictures next time - Thanks!

We had a great time. The host’s instructions were clear and easy and it made the site easy to locate. It’s a nice easy hike with a perfect secluded area where our dogs spent hours playing in the water and chasing each other. Hope to return in the future.

This was our first Sniffspot trip and wow! Places to leave poop, fresh water, and we loved swinging while the dogs played! My little one Bailey loved running through the drainage pipe like it was agility class :) They loved the water and we never had concerns about them wandering far bc there were so many new smells. Great mountain location. Short hiking trail with stream at the end of hike. Area to run and play ball. Host was very responsive and gracious. Ground were clean. Toys and water were provided. Definitely one of our new favorite Sniffspots, we'll be back!

This spot was AMAZING! Our dog Steve had the best time exploring and swimming in the little splash pool. The trail came with a toy box, fresh water, swings to relax, and lots of trash areas for poop bags. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip, we will be back!
