A really special spot! Barb is so thoughtful with sharing this space. She communicated well about the space and was very, very welcoming.
It is so wonderful to have the huge open field and the little trails through the woods.
Muck boots were a must. I would use caution if throwing the ball in the field as there are many holes. I did hear rifle shots off in the distance (way off the property) so it might be a consideration for noise phobic dogs.

Another excellent visit! The dogs had SO much fun and I cannot express how much I appreciate having a safe place to take them off leash and all the constant work that Barb puts into maintaining and improving the fields, fencing and trails.

Every time I come here I'm more impressed with the care and dedication that goes into creating this oasis. As my deaf dog's vision diminishes, I'm so thankful that we can come here and be safely off leash to explore and enjoy this beautiful property. The nitty gritty: well maintained fields and trails, lots of places to explore, safe fencing, peaceful setting, garbage cans provided to make it easy to clean up after your pup; basically the ideal off leash experience. Absolutely recommend!

This property is incredible! Huge field with mix of mowed/open track and long grass to run in. The best part though is the trails in the back of the property- such a joy to walk with your dog off leash in a wooded area like this! Worth the drive, check it out! Host bonuses are trash & recycling, dog & human water, and balls. Can’t wait to visit again. This property is obviously so well cared for. Did not see any other dogs (other than the pup friend we met here) so good for reactive pups too.

This is the best Sniffspot around. The dogs have plenty of open field to bounce around and then there is a forest with awesome trails to explore. There is also a water station for dogs/humans, and another spot with camp chairs to just sit and watch the dogs explore.

We have our 2 dogs which are rescues and both have their own set of challenges, I always feel safe letting them be free at barbs property. We all love the massive field to play with the chuck it which is provided, and for the last 30 minutes we walk the trails which they just love to sniff around. I HIGHLY recommend it and have recomennded it to many of our friends and family.

Great visit as always! Fields are mowed for open running and forest trails were nice and cool and well maintained. Plenty of water available for my three dogs.

We've been to Barb's retreat about 5 times this summer and it's a gem every time. The field is now cut and it's full of mice trails to follow (and the inevitable uneven ground of a field but our chihuahua mix does ok, just be aware). The woods are so pleasant and offer many trails - seems like we find new paths each time, always well maintained with attention to good ground covering (no mud!) and water and seating. It's just before the leaves turn too! We will keep coming through the fall and see how it gets come winter rains. Thanks Barb!

The host is communicative and friendly! The space is quite large with secure fencing. I love that there is field AND forest! Great trails in the forested area that my dog zoomed around on. 10/10 sniffs in the grass field :) highly recommend!

Barb’s space is incredible- and the funnest part is it’s a little different each time we visit :) This weekend the big open field was mowed and our dog spent a lot of time sprinting after balls. We had a nice visit with Yuba, one of Barb’s dogs (which we requested) but other than that the space is nice and quiet for any pups who may be reactive. We spent some time off leash hiking in the woods, too. The property is very well maintained with thoughtful touches for pets & owners. Worth the road trip!

This was my first sniffspot and boy let me tell you, all the rest will have a high bar to live up to! Huge field. Almost 10 acres of woods behind that. Watering spots, drinks for the human tagalongs, little benches and such through the woods. All the trails. My reactive doggo had a blast running free. Barb was fantastic, gave us the overview, very easy to chat with. Puts a lot of care into creating and keeping a beautiful, serene space. We will definitely be back!

This is a really nice Sniffspot - very large with a couple different types of terrain, woods and meadows. Barb was a very hospitable host. She met us upon arrival and gave us an overview of the property. The meadow is really large and although it borders another property that appears to have livestock, we didn’t see any. Even if there had been livestock out I don’t think my dog would have noticed them because the property line was quite a long ways away. We headed straight for the woods and found lots of nicely maintained wooded trails. Barb has done a nice job of marking the trails so that folks won’t get lost. She also has a nice spot to stop and rest, complete with chairs and water for the dog. The entire property is fenced and I felt very secure in knowing that my reactive dog would not be surprised by any other dogs or human visitors. Access to the property is really easy too - you can park just a few feet from the entrance gate. Overall, a great place to take your pup.

What an incredible space! Barb has really thought of everything when opening her retreat to others. She gave me a thoughtful introduction to the property upon my arrival, which was appreciated as the space is very large.
She has water, poo bags, balls, and more avaible to use! She also has a nice map for walking in the forest on the property. Everything is fully fenced so your pup can explore freely! I will definitely return here!

As always, beautifully maintained and an amazing property. I feel like there are new trails every visit and they are well marked and as mud free as humanly possible. There is always water available as well as extra poop bags and waste cans strategically placed so you never have to carry a bag for too long and there's no excuse not to tidy up. I'm so thankful for this resource especially in this time of social distancing and iffy dog park options.
There is one caveat: today was the first day I've seen dogs next door at the property which shares a fence with this one. My dogs aren't very fence reactive and we stayed well back but I'd keep a dog reactive dog leashed until you either get to the wooded area or the other side of the (huge) field.

We had a wonderful time here! Barb is so gracious and genuine. The field portion is quite expansive, and our dog had a great time exploring it. The trail system is secluded, extremely well-maintained, and it’s got a cute home-ey touch.
