There is a little shade from mesquite trees along the south wall and the back portion of the yard behind the chain link section is a mix of soft dirt, sand, and wood chips. 55We just left here and had the best time with our dog!! She is a water girl and very quickly figured out how the pool works (first time!) and had a blast. The yard is great and clean. The neighbors have a couple dogs that barked at us a bit on and off (not an issue for us at all) and our dog just ignored them, but something to note if your dog is sensitive to that. Theres also a ton of bees around since their tree is flowering. We love bees and were not bothered by them, but if you're allergic it's something to note. It was so nice to get out of the city and get some water time for our pup. We will definitely be back!! Thank you so much Erin for offering your beautiful space 🧡Maggie S.

FAQ About Surprise Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
