55This was such a perfect spot for my dog to run! There’s water set out and poop bags for you if you forgot to bring some. The set up is perfect for some enrichment for your dog, and it’s nice and cozy for you while you watch them play. I definitely will be coming again and am so grateful this place exists:) Sidney L.

55Kandi's Private Dog Park in Twin Oaks area between San Marcos and Vista is beautiful. There are great trails. There are two gates into the property (for cars). Before you let your dogs off the leash, make sure that both are closed. It is the responsibility of the dog owner to make sure the gates are closed if you need them to be for your dogs. Also, be aware that the owner is living on the property, so be respectful of their homes and the things around their homes. I had to steer my dogs away from their personal effects around the homes (because my dogs were so excited, they wanted to explore every corner of the property, if I let them!).
Regardless, one of my dogs got to go swimming. And all three had a blast running all over the property.

I came with my 3 huskies for about an hour and a half and they are EXHAUSTED. there so much space to run and play in the ponds and even some incline on the trails for a good workout! the ponds are muddy as mentioned in most comments- I personally didn’t mind, my dogs love that stuff! there are also people on the property which is to be expected. we came early in the morning and during the week so we didn’t run into any kiddos! place is overall lovely and fun for the dogs. definitely hope to return when visiting San Diego area again! Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
