55This spot popped up available as I was going to visit Cedarville State Forest, so I changed locations for a paw-some doggie free roam and sniff-tasting time for my pup as opposed to the 4 miles hike. Harley enjoyed seeing horses, she never one before. The property was. I’ve there was some tall grass around, but all in all, it was a great roaming spot for a dog to be off leash on a great weather day. On the way to the location, I guess I didn’t pay full attention to the directions, but it turned out great. I stopped to ask some gentlemen getting their food truck, Aunt Titty’s, set up at the Janemark Winery just before the turn onto the dirt road. I stopped at the back not realizing that I wasn’t quite there and met one of the owners of the winery and she gave me directions to where I was supposed to go. You can’t beat a dog friendly play spot that has access to a winery and food truck. I patronized all 3 and had a great time. It’s unfenced, but the space is so large that your dog shouldn’t run away because there’s so much for them to sniff. Bring your own doggie toys and please make sure to clean up after yourself. I will be going here again. It was nice and leisurely for a Sunday out with your fur baby.

FAQ About Brandywine Dog Parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 3% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Brandywine area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 517 fully fenced dog parks in the area.
