55This was our 2nd visit and enjoyed most of our time - booked 2 hours so we all could enjoy the water. The only disappointment was that a couple of guys came down the river in a motorboat and stopped directly across the river from the spot! They came to pull up several crayfish (?) traps. Thankfully, our dog didn’t get triggered by the surprise appearance of people but it did lead us to cut our visit short for safety reasons. We don’t know how much control the host has over public access by boat. This is something to keep in mind for future visits!Alma A.

55Go the full distance after you turn off the highway. Once you take the middle road, it will veer to the left past an old open barn. A blue Sniffspot sign will indicate the parking spot and then the property is to the left down the long & wide clearing. The sandy beach is huge with calm waters. We had a great time. Since we walked from the highway, we even got to meet some neighbors. Other than that just some curious songbirds who delighted at my dog swimming. We will absolutely be back. 55This location is great! Fully fenced and beautiful surroundings in the valley! Easy to find, easy to get into. The stick library is a very nice and also hilarious touch. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
