There is a 100-foot-long Stick Library! These trails, originally created for horses, have been lovingly reclaimed from invasive brush and dead trees, now fun for paws and feet alike. We’ve ensured the future of this tranquil forest by planting more than 600 local tree saplings. The canopy of Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yew, BigLeaf Maple, and Alder, filled out as soon as there was more light. These trails whisper stories of the past. In the spring flowering bushes bloom from March through early June, in the summer lush frilly leaves decorate every breeze with greenery in motion, and in the fall in October the leaves magically turn yellow, orange, red, brown, and purple. We have two husky mixes (who you won’t see or probably hear) who love the space and haven’t managed to find any gap in the fences to escape. Once you close the gate behind you, the whole place is for you to enjoy, including the fenced-in meadow/arena, front and back around the house. You are free to let the dogs out of your car off-leash. Most of the land is flat and accessible. There are a couple of stairs and a small slope lead to my house and the back yard. (See accessibility picture) Having two reactive dogs, I understand the significance of providing them with a safe space to unwind. We will never come out when you are here without prior communication. There are no visible neighbors or other domestic animals nearby. It’s the perfect place for the dogs to relax and decompress. It's a Dog's World! Room to Run and Have Fun!

** SAFETY - when you LEAVE the yard after your visit, please pull the gate handle hard enough so that you can hear it latch all the way shut; you should feel it click and if you push on it again it should not pop back open. A couple of times lately the gate has been wide open because it was not fully latched, and it opened back up. THANK YOU!! I appreciate it - I always look first before letting "my" dogs out, but it is still risky to have the gate open. 🐶🦴 ** PLEASE continue to leave a REVIEW every time you visit (even just stars!) and also please add a photo if you want to- the reviews help a lot, and I LOVE seeing the photos of all the cute dogs enjoying the yard!! That's what it's all about! 🐾 *** Rainy season has commenced - UGH. There WILL BE mud - your dog WILL get muddy. There are towels and a "Mud Buster" that you can use for their paws. For the humans, wear boots or shoes you don't mind getting dirty. I have quite a big yard for this area. It is fully enclosed by a 6' wooden fence. Between the yard and the patio, the total area is roughly 3200 sq feet. I have a rockery that dogs love to run up and down, juniper bushes, a large covered and uncovered patio area, a kiddie pool in the hot weather, 2 water bowls (and a hose for replenishing the water/pool if needed), lots of tennis balls and toys, and a large perimeter to sniff! There is a bench, small table, and some Adirondack chairs in the backyard (and more chairs and a larger table up on the patio) for the humans... feel free to move them around as you wish! There is plenty of space to throw balls and toys; if you have mobility issues and cannot go down into the backyard, you can stay up on the patio and have your dog bring the ball back to you. (There are flat stone steps that lead down into the yard.) Most dogs love to run up & down the rockery! Your dog(s) should be very tired and happy by the end of the Sniff! Thank you for visiting us Just a reminder to please pick up the toys and water bowls that you use when here and place them in the 'used/dirty bin'. Please also pick up waste and deposit to the trash bins! This ensures a clean space for the pups that visit after you. Thanks! It's a large, open one acre pasture with plenty of room to run and play. Tall fir trees, our home and other single family homes surround the property. There are neighbors who walk their dogs or play with their dogs in their yards. There are no shared fence-lines but we are noting this in case your dog might be reactive or sensitive to seeing and hearing other dogs and people. There are also chickens nearby - see note below. Double gated entrance for security. Park along the fence on the gravel drive. Plenty of room for your pup to enjoy the zoomies! A few things below to note, thank you! *🎾💦 For the toys and water bowls, we have labeled bins for 'clean' and 'dirty/used'. Please utilize items from the clean containers and then place in used/dirty so we can thoroughly clean them. There are cleaning materials in case you would like to sanitize or self-clean bowls or toys. Thank you! * 🥾The terrain of the pasture does have some dips, bunny holes and there is a section of mown grass, as well as a portion of longer pasture grass, and sticks from the fir trees. Wearing solid and/or waterproof shoes will help you navigate the land. *💦 There is a water spigot with hose in the pasture to use for drinking water. If you use the spigot, please be sure to turn it off. There are small plastic pools available for warm days. You are welcome to use a pool, but please empty it after use and return it to the fenceline area. *💡lighting: we have 4 sets of string lights on our fence, two small solar spotlights on the fence, and one large spotlight on the far power pole (motion sensor). It adds some brightness to the pasture for evening visitors. Note that since it is an acre lot, there is a portion of the pasture that is still quite dark once the sun is fully set. *🐓 There are two hens and one rooster on a neighboring fence line and the gate to their henhouse yard has a sign (don't let the chickens out, no matter what they say), as well as a secure gate latch plus bungee cord. They will stay on the far side of their yard, and hide under the shrub/tree cover so are usually not be visible from the Sniffspot pasture, but wanted to share in case this is bothersome to some pup guests. Our rooster, as well as neighborhood roosters, are regularly heard. *please note: due to the burn ban, wildland fires and the dryness of our land, we ask for no smoking on the property at this time, thank you

Conveniently located next to a public trail access, and located within private property. The lawn is a mix of short grass and soft moss, this is regularly maintained and never sprayed with chemicals or fertilizers. Fully fenced on all four sides with no low spots\gaps. One secured swinging gate at the entrance. Dedicated parking along the road just before the house and is clearly marked with a sign! The table next to the fenced area has a mailbox with hand sanitizer and other goodies, there is also a water\food bowl available. (I have a hose on the side of the house you are welcome to use) Please dispose of any used poop bags and other trash in the little blue trash bin under the table. The road next to the fenced area is privately owned, so the only people and vehicles that pass by are residents and delivery couriers but they are not very visible due to the difference in elevation. People occasionally pass by on the public trail and some do bring their pets, but it is mostly obscured from view by the trees on our property and separated by two sets of fences. Note that we are within hearing distance from a sportsman club\firing range, so at times there may be noise. Please reach out with any questions you may have!

The Meadow at Spadoni Hill Private Dog Park In Gig Harbor

In our fully fenced, gently rolling meadow there is plenty of room to run, chase frisbees and balls, dip paws in the pup-pool, and sniff around for the scents of nature. For humans, there is a cozy shelter with seating, a bistro table, and the entertainment of a frisbee "goal". There's shade from a large fir, in the meadow, as well as shade from the woods, on the south side. Fencing is at least 4 feet high, all around. It has a vision-block screen, a 4.8’ top wire, plus double fencing, on the side with neighbor dogs. If the neighbor's Goldens are out, they will friendly bark, and bark. They really want to come over and play. Surrounding Area: There are two private yards (one with an enclosed, screened chicken run, and one with friendly dogs); deep woods on the South side; and an incredible mountain view, over more meadow, on the West side. Sunsets from here are awe-inspiring! Parking: There is room for two vehicles to park near the gate the Meadow. Please park only on gravel and do not drive on the lawn near the meadow. If there are more than two vehicles in your party, please park up the hill in the gravel near the large, 4-car garage. LIMIT of 4 VEHICLES per reservation, unless organized in advance with us. There are four easy-closing gates in the fence, that are generally left open for wildlife passage. We will make every effort to have the gates closed before you arrive, but know that you're responsible for seeing that all 4 gates are closed before you unleash your pups. If you bring kids, you're also responsible for keeping them in the gates :D We hope you visit soon and come back often!

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area.
