55Great communication! The property was pretty and the pond was great. Not a huge area for walking so we did two loops of the field and two swims in the pond and that took about 45 min. We parked in front of the gold barn and couldn’t immediately see the pond but after a little exploration and looking at the map we easily found the pond and where we should/shouldn’t go! Overall was a great time, the pups loved it, will come again!Jenny K.

55Beautiful fields and pond. My pup had a blast.
You can hear the gun range nearby so if its a weekday and your pup is reactive to guns or fireworks this may not be your best choice. Ann Marie M.

55What a great property for the dogs! The pond was definitely the highlight for our goldens, and we spent most of our time in that area. The long hill down to the pond gives you a good workout when you head back up, so be aware if you have any mobility/stamina issues, but it is not steep. I will definitely visit again!Laurie C.

55My dog had a great time, he loved walking in and around the pond. He loved watching the geese in the pond too! It’s pretty isolated, we didn’t see anyone or any other animals which was great for my dog who can be reactive and isn’t perfect with recall. Christina H.

55Such a great spot for my pup. Lots of open space to run around. There are some muddy spots, which I purposely sought out so my pup could splash around but definitely can avoid if you don't want to necessarily take your pup a full bath afterwards. The lake would be awesome in the spring/summer! Absolutely recommend this spot! Alexandria S.

55Sarah was very communicative and helpful with finding the location. The place itself was amazing, my dogs had such a great time running and playing, and of course sniffing. The area was clean and free from any debris that could hurt the pups. I will definitely be going back!Amber C.

FAQ About Glen Arm Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 4% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Glen Arm area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 438 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 699 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
