I also loved that the gate to the pasture is open at arrival so you can just drive right in and close the gate behind you. Got to meet the hostess as well. What a wonderful lady.Diane N.

What a treat this was! My whippet really got to stretch his legs. It warmed my heart to see him running as fast as he could go. AND in a completely secured pasture. I also loved that the gate to the pasture is open at arrival so you can just drive right in and close the gate behind you. Got to meet the hostess as well. What a wonderful lady.

55When you have a high energy puppy and it is 100° outside, the cats get harassed and the puppy tries to see what trouble he can get into. Having access to a place with always new smells, lots of shade, and some water to play in saves my sanity and much of the house from destruction! This really is the best sniff spot around for that. It had some wonderful features like being able to drive into the spot and let your dogs out of the car. It had beautiful open grassy fields that were mowed. My dogs loved the berry bushes that are off to the side of the path that were great places for sniffing and hunting adventures. It had a lovely wooded section in the middle. I loved getting to meet the owner who was very friendly and helpful. This was a well maintained spot with toys, water and readily available poop bags and places to dispose of poop. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
