55This is definitely my senior girls favorite Sniffspot! She LOVES the pond. The other two love playing long the bank and rolling in the grass. I even got in the water to try to entice them in to learn to swim 😂 if you do the same I highly recommend good water shoes with a sole, and watch for tadpoles! We were able to access the pond by walking in. He loved it. The pond is close to the road as noted so unless your dog has really good recall I’d keep them on leash. Was a great time overall. 55We had a great time! Easy to find and access. The dogs loved playing at the edge of the water, and hopefully when it’s a bit warmer we can take them back for a proper swim! There’s a very cute dock, and while our pups aren’t big dock divers it would be a great spot if yours are. The property is beautifully maintained, and the field is a great size for running! We were slightly worried about exactly where the property line was in the field, and on the house side tried not to let the pups go too much further than the gazebo area because the arrival directions mentioned not to go directly in front of the home, and we wanted to be very respectful and not disturb the hosts pups inside. Overall we loved this spot, and it’s a great one for my senior girl with arthritis who loves to swim, because the water is so easy to access and the terrain is nice and flat, and we didn’t even have to hike to get there! There’s also some nice shade trees around which would be perfect in summer to sit under as the dogs play in the water. Thank you again for having us!Savannah H.

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks.
