55Beautiful property! There’s a picnic table to relax while the dogs play and another area with a couple chairs. One of my visits I brought my own camp chair to take down by the creek. There’s trails to explore if you have good walking shoes. The dogs have a great time. Debra T.

55I read the other reviews and contacted the host with a few questions ahead of time. The host was very responsive abs explained the boundaries and the approximate distance from the center of town. I will say that the drive there felt like it took a while because it was an unfamilar road with lots of curves, so u was driving slow. On the way back it felt much shorter (for those concerned with distance). I think it took us about 20 min to drive out but I go slow on curves. The location itself has a great view - super lush and green this time of year. The fire pit pictured is pretty much the only flat/clear space. The host was outside when we arrived and he made sure we knew where to park and explained the boundaries again, which I did appreciate. The property isn't marked for those who prefer "no-contact" visits, so keep that in mind. It might be helpful for some visitors to see clear markers, but I had already received instructions from the host so it wasn't a big deal for me. The host did tell us that the neighbors have horses, which you can't see unless you're on the edge of the property by the swings. I was really glad he mentioned the horses because my dogs haven't been introduced to live stock and I don't trust them, so we avoided that area. The swings were a nice feature for my girls - they hung out there for a while. A lot of the property requires leg strength and the will to make it up a giant hill if you want to use the upper part of the location. My dogs live to run, and run hard, so this spot was better for sniffing. The price was definitely right, so if you don't mind a little bit of a drive and aren't looking for a wide open space, then this is worth a visit. The scenery was beautiful!Emily C.

55Pretty nice grass track around the fields but the little wooded trail is where this place shines. Not being fenced was not an issue, plenty of distance from the road and some natural barriers. Taylor M.

55I didn’t love that is wasn’t fenced, until I got there and realized it didn’t matter. It was a little muddy, but we were warned, so we were prepared. Love this place. The trails are beautiful and the creek was awesome. We’ll definitely be back. ❤️Kim S.

FAQ About Woodland Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 0% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Woodland area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 186 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 323 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
