"I started volunteering with Dallas Pets Alive after meeting a few of their folks while I was also volunteering at a local shelter. They are an awesome group to get involved with. They have an entrepreneurial mindset, always willing to try new things. A few innovations are: Foster+ (additional support for fosters including dog “taxis” to appointments), PASS (tactically helps prevent shelter surrenders by solving real issues for folks), juvenile detention center who fosters dogs, “container” at a local brewery etc). Beyond that, the team has servant hearts. Caring equally for the humans in our community and animals. Any time I’m at a DPA event or working with the team I get a huge mood boost."

"Dallas Pets Alive! does amazing work to find pets their forever homes in North Texas. They have done monumental work to keep dogs out of the shelters and help owners with their PASS and Dogs Matter program partnerships. As a foster and volunteer, I feel incredibly supported and grateful to have an organization like DPA behind me!"

"I have volunteered as a dog foster mom for the past nine years. I have watched Dallas Pets Alive grow from a small organization with a few volunteers, to a much larger nonprofit that has its reach to several rescue shelters not just in Dallas, but around the metroplex. The administration of Dallas pet alive is hard-working and organized and gets us everything we need to foster our animals successfully. They also offer an incredible social media reach and opportunities for people to adopt."

"DPA doesn’t just focus on the easy animals they rescue, they take in medical cases that are more challenging and expensive to manage. They also support the city shelter through their PASS program to help owners keep their pets. They are so commuted to keeping families together and creating new ones with animals that get overlooked at the shelter. They are innovative and have awesome programs to make it easier to foster such as Snyfts. They even have a virtual adoption center at a local brewery to make it easy to network your fosters for adoption over brunch!"

Get your dog the safe enrichment they need by renting a Sniffspot

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
David is based in Salem, MA.
