Golden Retriever Rescue Alliance (GRRALL) is an all-volunteer non-profit foster-based animal rescue organization out of Fort Worth, Texas. We are committed to saving Golden Retriever and Golden Retriever mixes regardless of age or health throughout North Texas.
We are always in need of donations, volunteers, foster homes, and adopters.
Without regard to age, medical condition, or cost of care, GRRALL accepts Golden Retrievers and “Golden hearted” mixes in need of rescue. Many times, the care of these animals runs into the thousands of dollars.
Over 95% of all GRRALL expenses are for veterinary care. For example, a healthy dog that comes from an area shelter can cost the organization $650 before they become available for adoption. They are held in isolation for several days to prevent the spread of contagious disease, receive routine vaccinations, a full medical evaluation to ensure they are healthy, and spay/neuter surgery. Dogs with more serious medical needs (i.e. heartworm disease, kennel cough, internal parasites, distemper, etc.) require more funding. GRRALL’s anticipated expenses for 2020 will exceed $150,000 dollars. GRRALL has rescued over 780 deserving animals since inception in 2010. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible, and 100% of all donations go toward caring for these deserving dogs and finding them a permanent, loving forever home. All GRRALL staff are unpaid volunteers.
Golden Retriever Rescue Alliance, Inc. (GRRALL) is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing permanent, loving forever homes for homeless, neglected and abandoned golden retrievers and “Golden Hearted” mixes who need our help. As with any non-profit organization, GRRALL relies on your generous support to continue our operations. While we do collect adoption fees from new adoptions, this typically covers only one-third of the average expenses for each dog rescued and extraordinary expenses can be considerably more. Contributions from caring people like you must make up the rest. Your contributions provide for the medical care, rehabilitation, and placement of these wonderful animals in their new forever homes.

How to Adopt a Dog from GRRALL
The first step to adopting a dog from GRRALL is to read our FAQs to make sure you meet and understand the minimum requirements and to get a feel for the adoption process. Once you have done that, complete and submit an online adoption application. Due to the constraints of a small volunteer pool, we are unable to provide individualized responses to applications until a potential match is made. However, you will receive an automated response letting you know your application has been received.
Next, plan to attend a GRRALL Meet and Greet so you can meet and mingle with our available dogs. This initial meeting goes a long way to let potential owners know whether or not they might be the right forever family for a dog they have seen online. If the foster parent feels that your family is a good fit, a home visit will be scheduled. We never do on-site adoptions. All adoptions require a home visit and a positive vet reference. All members of the family must be present at the home visit. A volunteer (usually the foster parent) will bring the foster dog to your house and see how he/she interacts with your family. The volunteer will verify that your yard is adequately fenced. If the foster family feels that it is a good match, arrangements will be made to finalize the adoption.
Adoption fees are $400 for any GRRALL dog. Puppies adopted out on a spay/neuter contract require a $100 deposit.
If you love Goldens as much as we do (and we know you do), then you are very eager to find and bring home your forever Golden. Please be patient with us throughout the adoption process. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we all have full-time jobs and commitments to our families and foster dogs. The adoption process can take between two weeks and a month to finalize (and sometimes longer, depending on how long it takes you to find your “just right” dog). The process is worth the wait! GRRALL has a very good track record in terms of matching dogs and owners. Once we send a dog home with you, you can be pretty darn sure you’re getting a dog that’s a good match for your family.

Get your dog the safe enrichment they need by renting a Sniffspot

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
David is based in Salem, MA.
