The Pawerful Rescue was established in 2019 as a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue, but our founder, Stephanie, had already been rescuing strays for years.
We all have a friend like that‚ don't we?
No matter where she went, Stephanie would find an animal in need. It wasn't until Stephanie moved to South Los Angeles, though, that she experienced an overwhelming number of animals in need. From that point, The Pawerful Rescue grew organically. What was once just a person picking up strays and trying to reunite, vet, or rehome these little souls, morphed into an organization that is made up of like-minded individuals making a difference.
Duke Hemstreet joined the rescue in 2020 and has been an instrumental part in the rescue flourishing.
Our rescue has expanded into Texas, where we dream of building a sanctuary for those fur babies that need a place to call home. Our goal has always been to find the perfect home for our rescues, but if that perfect home never comes, they get to live out their days with us!
We Rescue the Ones That Need the Most Rescuing!
Every rescue is different. Some are breed specific or even age specific. We've rescued everyone from a five-pound miniature Poodle, to a 100-pound paralyzed Great Dane. We gravitate toward animals with extreme medical, behavioral, and other special needs as well as senior dogs. They aren't the easiest cases, but certainly the most fulfilling to watch transform.
As The Pawerful Rescue continues to grow, we look forward to sharing every part of the journey with you.

"Pawerful Rescue is so devoted to all of these dogs that need help. I am not young enough to care for rescue dogs but Pawerful are the ones that I would want to fashion myself after. They are the most loving, caring and devoted couple I have ever seen."

"I have followed the lady who started this rescue well before her rescue was a thing. She dreamed and hoped for a rescue of her own. Now that she has one, she is killing the rescue game! They take in all the cases. They make sure each and every dog gets a home to call their own. Makes sure sick and old dogs feel loved before their last days. These two work their asses off and it shows. They make sure all dogs go to a LOVING home and help their adopters any way they can."

"Bunny’s Buddies is hands down the best rescue in California. They advocate for these dogs more than I’ve ever seen any other rescue do. They truly know how to rehabilitate broken souls and place them into loving, supportive, and patient homes. They work around the clock to insure that these dogs are safe and well cared for. I have been a supporter of them for years. They also provide detailed education to all potential adopters, which is incredible. I cannot wait to adopt from them in the future and am in awe of the strides they make every single day in the rescue world."

"This team takes severely neglected and abused animals and transforms their lives. They rehabilitate and love every one of the dogs they save. They work day and night in rescuing dogs and get them adopted to loving families. They are inspirational to thousands, and the world needs more generous and loving people like them. They take time with every dog, they don’t give up on any dogs, and they take in the most difficult situations… I aspire to be like them one day. They cared for the dogs that no one else would. They spend so much money on these extreme cases just because they want to give the dogs who never got any love a chance at life. Their compassion is unmatched."

Get your dog the safe enrichment they need by renting a Sniffspot

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
David is based in Salem, MA.
