There is new home construction up at the top of the hill they have their own short black fencing around the homes, so just stay beyond the fence. Water pump and doggie bowls available outside near the front right side of the home in front of the outhouse. Trashcans are available at the side of the house across from the shed near the trampoline. There's a basketball hoop and 🏀 if interested in playing as well as some swings for kids closer to the house. Feel free to use it. Lastly, please use Google Maps for navigation instead of Waze as it's the most updated one for finding the property. The way to operate the water pump is to pull the lever up and all the way back and wait a few seconds and the water will come out the hose. PS- if you're ever running late or got lost and some of your paid time is used up please feel free to stay a little longer to make up for it if no one else is booked immediately after you.

Come for our glorious sunrises on the creek and sunsets in the fields or just to enjoy the day exploring the fields and creek. The dog area starts past the broken black fence behind the house and goes down through the fields and into the woods. I would appreciate it if you would kindly please keep the dogs leashes and wait until you are past the broken fence to allow your dog to do any business. If your dog is under control or if the horses are not out, you can let them loose right after the broken fence. If you think your dog might be nutty with the horses, please take appropriate measures. To get to the creek, go past the broken fence and keep going down the hill to the back tree line. I have included a map in the pictures. And then just keep walking; it’s about five minutes from the house to the trailhead. We have set out fluorescent yellow markers on the trees on the back tree line as you approach the trail. We also put up a blue sign that says “To The Creek” at the trail head. Once in the woods, walk down the steep hill and take the trail to the right at the bottom of the hill, before the little ravine. That trail will take you out to a spot where your dog can splash around and I’ve cut a few trails to explore back there. If you go to the red barn, you’ve gone too far. The trail is right at the base of the hill. We are looking forward to having you and please reach out if you need anything special or want to chat before coming.

My dogs Swoosh and Frankie saw a glimpse of dog heaven today at Mel's gigantic heavenland. We live in Washington DC so having the opportunity to be at a safe, open space by ourselves is a dream. The place was absolutely huge and one hour was not enough to sniff everything. Mel was very welcoming and my dogs enjoy playing with her children. Most of the field is wired and fenced, though it is still important to keep an eye on your dogs because even though mine were medium-sized, they were able to slip out from under. As long as your dogs are good with recalls (or perhaps bring their training collar if you have one), then you should be okay letting them running around. The drive was absolutely worth it and we shall be back!

We used a 60 ft leash since there isn’t a privacy fence and Leia doesn’t have 100% recall yet. But that didnt hinder anything! Mel and her family were absolutely lovely, it was a pleasure to meet them! We would love to come back!

Great piece of property! The yard is huge! There are some gaps in the fence, as other reviews stated, so you may want to use a long lead or work on recall. We did not have a problem because our dog wanted us in his line of sight the whole time. Mel is a fantastic host, very warm and personable. She leaves dog bowls out that you can fill with water, and the dog basically has the run of the entire property. We loved it so much we're going back in two days.

the property was beautiful and the hosts were kind. we had such a great time and plan on returning soon! we didnt use the fenced in area as our dog has good recall but it is there if you arent sure. overall great experience and appreciated the water area with dog bowls 😁

Plenty of space for your dog to get in some good running and some tall grass to roll in! If your dog is an escape artist (ex. Can fit under fences or through gaps), keep them on a long leash or consider an alternative. The property was quiet, very pretty, and there were no other dogs or animals around.
