My dog loved exploring the trails though keep in mind it’s quite hilly, and since it rained right at the beginning of our visit it was really slippery & muddy too. Also remember to bring bug spray. Trails are easy to navigate and have all the enriching sniffs, and the pond looked great but we didn’t make use of it this time. Also note we came across a porcupine so be careful of your dog getting quilled. Host is responsive, and provided clear instructions. We didn’t see the sheep mentioned, but we did see the bee hives. We didn’t walk close to them and the bees didn’t mind us at all. Great experience!Maggie L.

55We had a blast! It was really nice to have the cabin deck to use as a home base. We set up their water dishes and had an afternoon snack there partway through our visit. We didn't make use of the fire pit but would be fun to do on another trip.
The dogs had a great time running in the trees and of course found comically large sticks to drag around.
I noticed some fairly large holes in the ground in the woods on the northern edge of the property. (At least I think it's north-the side furthest away from the cabin/driveway/401.) If your dog likes to run at a million miles an hour, I'd keep them out of that area or have them on leash there to avoid any potential injuries. No fault of the owners-it's a wooded area and they look like tree stump holes, just something to keep in mind. We got to that part last and they'd had lots of zoomies by that point.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks.
