55This is a beautiful spot! I visited with my 2 dogs and my sister’s 2 dogs. There are toys and balls for the dogs as well as a hose and a water dish. I loved that the grass is longer in some spots and mowed in others. The dogs had a lot of fun in the longer grass. There are horses and wildlife in the fields surrounding the dog park. The field is very clean and it is obvious that the owners take good care of it. 55This place is great! Make sure you put the name of place in Google maps "barn dance acres" as the directions in the app will get you close, but not right to the driveway. If it's a hot sunny day, it's not a bad idea to bring a pop up tent or something for some shade. The property is beautiful and well maintained. There's a garden hose available for water as well as a dish (i brought my own). There's also some balls and a chuck it there but again we brought our own. 10/10 will be back!! Thank you!! Allan X.

One of them was able to jump the fence twice at the back where the chicken wire part of the fencing was about 2ft (there is still a line of barbed wire higher up but she jumped through the opening in between the two) so if you have a particularly springy dog that likes to chase squirrels definitely keep them in your sight or even attach a long leash in case they spot something.
The majority of the field is also in the sun so keep that in mind for those hot days and make sure to spend some time in the shaded spots at the back.
Overall had a good time! Water was provided which is really nice, and the owner who came to greet us was also very kind!

FAQ About Foothills Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
