Welcome to Brockett Bark! 🐾 Friends have told us our backyard feels like a small city park: a fully fenced 1.2 acre property lined with trees that provide lots of shade and privacy. It's rare to find a spot like this so close to the city! There's lots of room here for activity—whether your fur-babies like to roam and sniff all the smells, find and chew on endless sticks, play long distance fetch (with our handy chuck-it), or just get some serious exercise running at full speed up and down the hill. We have two large breed dogs ourselves (an Australian Shepherd and a Great Pyrenees) and this yard is their happy place! Our Pyr is a rescue who can't be off leash or go to dog parks, so our property is the only space where he's free to be himself. Hi there! Welcome to my backyard. I hope you and your pups enjoy their time here. My yard is fairly rustic. There will be some seating and also poop bags and a trashcan will be available. I don’t have any toys right now, but I may add some in the future. Please be mindful of any kudzu vines or exposed tree roots. Depending on when you visit, please be mindful that there might be a few muddy spots so wear appropriate shoes. It’s very shady with all the trees.  Please no smoking, alcohol or glass bottles. Jade and Zac are proud dog parents to two beautiful (but very reactive) rescue pups, so we know how important it is to have a safe space where dogs can just be themselves. Back when we lived in an apartment, we relied on Sniffspot for exactly that — now that we have a big fenced-in backyard with gate access, we’re excited to share it with others! Our yard is perfect for pups who need a little extra space and a little less social interaction. There’s plenty of seating for you to relax while your dog plays, and if you’d like, we can even turn on the fire pit to make your visit extra cozy. We’ve stocked the space with everything we loved at our favorite Sniffspots: poop bags, treats, tennis balls, toys, bug spray, sun screen, and more. If you need anything at all before your visit, just let us know! Our two pups may be home during your visit, but they’ll be secured and kept out of sight so you and your dog can enjoy the yard stress-free. If needed, we can also take them off the property entirely — just mention it when you book. We totally get it. If you have a reactive dog or just crave some good privacy, this is the perfect spot for you. Tall, secure wooden fence is 6 feet tall on the sides and 8 feet tall across the back. Lots of level grassy areas to run and play in! There’s a fire table for your use. Please be sure to turn it completely off before you leave. When it’s hot out, there’s plenty of shade and we provide an oscillating fan on the deck for some cool breeze. Milk bones are provided, along with a hose and kiddie pool during the warmer months. We turn the water off in the winter so our pipes don’t freeze. Tons of seating! Outdoor living room area, plus an additional table and chairs with umbrella. There's even a sitting area in the yard with a fetching sticks and some toys. Hammock available as an extra for lounging on the deck.
