55Whistlestop Revisited: Roo’s Seatbelt Saga
We’ve been to Whistlestop many times before, but this visit started with a dramatic twist. As I parked the car, I heard a commotion, and turned to find Roo’s seatbelt harness dangling outside the window.
Cue panic.
Turns out, Roo had jumped out the window, Houdini’d her way out of her harness and was happily trotting toward the Sniffspot entrance like, “What? You took too long”.
Once inside, Roo zoomied, Parker patrolled, and many mole holes were investigated. Roo rates it a 10/10 - worth the leap. I’ve since shortened her seatbelt to keep future leaping metaphorical. Lisa B.

55WOW!! So much space for my dog to run like a maniac! The fence is solid, even for my fence-testing 90-pound Catahoula mix. The host greeted us and she is so nice! The space was very clean, and it was such good practice for my very reactive dog to be able to see and hear in the other fields the alpacas, chickens, bunnies, and the (fenced) dog across the street. He was so immersed having fun in his private park and the animals were so far away that he barely glanced at the other critters. We will definitely ask to come back!Katherine R.

55Excellent amenities, grass was kept to a nice length and the human snacks were welcome because my friend and I didn’t eat breakfast. The boys enjoyed watching the goats and only had mild concern about the barking LGD who quickly exited after his sheep who didn’t want to stick around and watch us. Caution of occasional gopher holes for dogs that like to sprint. Arielle M.

55GORGEOUS property!! The walk down to the field was a little longer than anticipated, but still beautiful. Plan for more time than you think to get back up to the parking area, especially if you're not used to steep inclines. I'd recommend packing water down with you if your pup is the type to need some intermittently. We saw many garter snakes, which my pup loves to chase. Elliott D.

55Tillie was less anxious this visit and enjoyed herself. Interested in the animals and the field holes. Eagles were out. We walked both fields, which was 50 minutes. So peaceful.Louella P.

55This is the best sniff spot I've been to! It's so clean and feels very secure and safe. They provide plenty of balls for your dog to play with and have comfortable seating. Usually, I am ready to go after an hour at sniff spots, but here I wanted to stay longer lol! 😊Melissa M.

55Spot was clean, well marked, and everything was exactly as the host said it was. The dogs LOVED the space. Any farm animals were behind fences and didn't react much to the dogs.Elizabeth C.

55So nice here, not just for the dogs but the people too. There is the barn for shade but this time there was also a tent with chairs under it which was great. There are toys, a stock tank you can put water in or not, it was clean, and if you need it there are even snacks and water for the people. So much fun. Sara J.

Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
