55Zany loves picking out "just the right toy' for our time in the fields. Today we spied a telescoping type of stand to attach the phone to and take pictures near the Adirondack Chairs at the top of the hill. It was fun to try to get a few action shots of the boy
He loves rolling a ball down the hilly trail, expecting me to catch it and toss it back up. All in all, a fun visit. We will be back in the morning. He has some energy to run out! Margie T.

55Perfect spot to stop on our drive from Seattle. Our boy was thrilled to run until he conked out. The shady area was so refreshing on a warm sunny day. Everything was well-marked and so clean. Very enjoyable visit!Stephanie P.

55Property was as described & our boys loved it. Nice big open walkable field that's mostly fenced, plus creek access/shaded area. The creek is mostly stagnant and is murky, but a great spot to cool off. I'd recommend bringing your own drinking water/dish. Also, be prepared to pack out your dog waste as there is no trash receptacle on site. If you have a big dog that likes to run, there's plenty of room here to wear them out!brianna m.

55What a beautiful place to Celebrate Milos 8th birthday! Lots of fun places to sniff and explore and plenty of shade to cool off for a bit! Will definitely come again. I also appreciated the paths being as clear as they were as someone with mobility issues that goes a long way literally. Holly B.

55My first time here. It is a beautiful spot. At first I was not sure where to park but I saw a gate with the doggy bags and trash receptacle. I was a little overwhelmed by where to walk and I remembered reading that they had mowed the trails around the property and the creek area. Willow (my dog) and I just walked and found the very cool and beautiful forested chair area then we walked higher and found the two Adirondack chairs at the top of the hill. The views were amazing! My pup loved leaping through the tall grass and ran up and down the creek as we returned to the car!!! She was an extremely muddy happy dog!IPam C.

55I selected this location because it’s close enough to my house that I can make a quick trip on my lunch break. I like that there is a large tree. My dog will play fetch and run herself ragged if allowed so I have to make her take breaks and the extra shade was nice. There were lots of toys and water. I brought my own but it was nice to have it available. It’s a good close space to fetch and play. Denise L.

55Absolutely stunning place. My dog has always had issues being around other animals so I turned to Sniffspot for help. This was my first time booking and I will absolutely be returning. I have never seen my dog so happy exploring everything and playing around. Brooklyn S.

55Great as always. Grass was short and there was a ton of toys to play with.
Not a knock on the location, but the last person didn’t pick up the toys and a few really tiny balls were left out that are pretty significant choking hazards to big dogs. Again, not the sniff spots issue, just something to watch out for!Collin S.

55So much land to explore here! The host was so accommodating and welcoming to us. We couldn’t find where to access the creek and she came down and showed us. It wasn’t super high this time of year and there’s not really a shoreline to hangout while our dog was in it but he got his paws wet which was nice! There was a muddy water hole right when you come in that he got into and had a blast! That helped cool him off. We ended up spending our last bit of time in a nice shady grove of trees. There was seating and bins for poop. It was beautiful!Ashley M.

FAQ About Salem Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.

All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 0% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Salem area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 181 fully fenced dog parks in the area.
