55I had booked a visit to Ian’s last minute and it was just getting dark when we arrived. The drive is unpaved and there had been enough recent rain that we had a little adventure crossing the creek. Not for anyone in a low car! We found the property easily. We parked outside the gate and used the man door. There were lights on at the house at the end of the drive but there is plenty of privacy on this gorgeous vineyard property. My dogs had a blast flying up the hill and through the rows of grapes. I wish more vineyards offered Sniffspot. We would absolutely visit again!Jesslynn S.

55Regardless of my pre-booking mistake of thinking my dog would be okay with strangers and new dogs around, our pup Daphne had a really good time. Amy wasn’t present, but her daughter Ashland led us to the yard, pointing out all the toys. Thankfully their golden, Ringo was kept in the house (though there was a moment where he clearly felt left out and went to the door, which agitated Daphne). Thankfully they moved him to his crate without us asking. Daphne spent a good 10-min just sniffing around, then had her fun running and fetching. The happiest moment came when Ashland pointed us to the Nerf Dog Gun, which shoots tennis balls. Whoa, Daphne fell in love with it!! Many thanks to Amy for letting us play in her lovely yard. The only thing I’d ask for our next visit, is an easily accessible poop bin, and a little more privacy - Ashland was present on the patio the whole time, and whenever Daphne’s vision drifted her way, she’d bark in protest, and even followed at her heels around the side of the house when Ashland disposed of our poop bag. Thankfully she didn’t nip.Keith K.

55We had a lovely time playing and training today and enjoying the nearby goats, horses, donkeys and the zebra! The arena felt safe and secure and was dry, not muddy at all even with yesterday's rain. Definitely recommend and will definitely go again soon.Debbie E.

55This place is our favorite place in the world! The drive there is beautiful, the location is gorgeous and getting a chance to walk into this magical world of wildlife is really special.
We normally play at the warehouse (another listing, located at the same property) but we decided to try some outdoor fun. Having seen a review noting there might be other pups that live there, we decided to make this an introduction visit. Charlie doesn’t understand how loud her bark is and hasn’t learned how to interact with dogs when she’s on leash.... so we were nervous.
When we arrived, parked and started to walk down to the fenced in sniffspot we DID encounter two collies.
The most behaved collies you’ve ever met! They never came close, they wanted to! But you could tell they’d been trained only to come if invited. It’s the first time Charlie was ever able to keep her cool around an off leash dog! We had no barking! They were very sweet and Charlie must have known. Anyone who is able to control their dog would likely NOT have an issue with their pups quickly walking through. We even stopped to use it as a training opportunity. Maybe she just had a good day- but I would beg anyone who is curious to please try! Once we were at the sniffspot fenced in area it was pure heaven! Samantha S.

55Had a great time at this sniff spot! It's a large area with secure fencing (even for a small dog). The footing is a little bit uneven in places along the perimeter (asphalt chunks, old irrigation pieces, some metal and glass found), so be mindful for you and your dogs. The weeds along the perimeter are getting pretty tall, too.
Between the goats on-site, and the dairy cows across the street, there were tons of great sniffs to be had! Wouldn't hesitate to come back.Lynn L.

55So we had a great time BUT the 2 resident dogs were not properly fenced in and the gate in back of the houses yard was wide open, couldn’t be locked and my wife had to hold it shut so the two border collies couldn’t get out and to my dogs. The pen was great and secure but I kept picking up large 6-8 inch long nails and 6 inch long pointy drip sprinkler stakes all over the field. These could easily have injured a hard playing/running dog. That said, we had a great time and the dogs ran and were happy and exhausted. Joseph B.

55Easy to follow instructions for entering the property, parking and locating the field. Host was outside and was very considerate to ask if my dog was ok with her two dogs being near by in another fenced yard by the parking spot. (No where near the actual field though). My dogs had a fun time sniffing around the grass, playing and fetching and watching the goats. I very much appreciate being able to have a safe fenced are to let them play! Thanks! Aryn H.

55Our puppies had a great time at this beautiful farm! Tons of room to run and play! The puppies also enjoyed looking at all of the farm animals. I recommended that the host provide a trash can for poop bags. My puppy had a poop and I cleaned it up and noticed 3 other poop bags near the entrance of the arena. We took all 4 bags with us to throw them away at home. Amber M.

55Colleen's yard is perfect! My pup had the best time sniffing, running and exploring. Very few sniff spots are true to what they claim regarding safety measures, but not Colleen. My dog is very athletic with high prey-drive, so finding a place without other animals present, with a high fence is rare. Not only that, but she also allowed me to use their tree swing while I was there :) She is an excellent communicator and responds quickly to questions and concerns. The only concern I have is that there are lilies in her yard, which are toxic to dogs and cats. This doesn't matter for my dog, as he isn't one who grazes on plants, but people with dogs that do should keep an eye on them while they're there. I'll definitely be back <3 Ashley F.

touch. Comfy chairs to enjoy the setting. Nice if you have no yard at all. Penny L.

FAQ about our Kenwood dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Kenwood area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 110 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 16 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
