Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site in the smaller barn. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. For the most part spacing between guests has been good. Please read the essential rules the website has suggested in order to keep this a fun and safe place for dogs. Guests can be blocked from booking again if they do not respect the space or who are rude to me. Please check the spot descriptions for all details regarding animals on the property. SPRING AND SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS *We will be adding a doggy splash pad and a kiddie pool with fresh water as an add on option. *shade umbrellas are out of storage and I just have to wash them... so they are coming very soon. *I am in the works of creating a full enclosed cat park. So if you are also a cat person or know a cat person please share my other link to book through the Swimply App. Similar to sniff spot but the insurance coverage is slightly different for cats ahah. The area available is not fenced and is 3.5 acres, situated entirely off the road. The main play space is an heirloom apple orchard with 25+ beautiful old gnarled trees in an unmowed meadow. My own reactive dog loves to spring through the tussocks and uses the trees like an obstacle course. Beyond the meadow is 3.5 acres of hawthorn scrub that’s great for dogs, but not easily human-penetrable. Perfect for letting adventurous dogs have a solo romp if they have good recall. GREAT SPOT! Loved getting to meet the owner of the property before using. Loved the trails, and I can’t wait to return to this spot in the summer time. I highly recommend this spot, especially for reactive dogs such as mine. He takes a bit to meet new people and doesn’t like being approached by large men, but he loves hikes and trails. Well the trails throughout whatcom county tend to get crowded quick, with this spot we really got the best of both worlds. We will definitely be returning!!!

Great spot for those closer to mission. Wooded areas are all unfenced. Fenced area is a large yard with a gracious host. Water and garbage for dog waste provided! Kaci was even kind enough to provide waste disposal bags when we forgot ours during the morning rush.

Beautiful quiet space for my reactive dog. Awesome spot to wear out my dog with the frisby or ball. Great directions to be clear about where to go/park. The shaded benches are a nice touch and it’s nice to have water available. Pony and I will be back, thanks Christy, Noah, and Cooper!

Wonderful fenced in grass yard with ample distance for our dog and his best friend to get a good sprint while playing fetch. All the dog amenities we needed were available. Tennis balls, chuck-it, a bowl with fresh water, kiddie pool, nice shady spots to rest, poo bags and sanitizer were all there and ready to use. Good parking and benches with shady umbrella to sit and watch. Host even offered a beverage to cool off. Definitely going back again.

What a wonderful SniffSpot, Christy!!! Just the right size property to run the pups and have a "cooler" evening summer playtime in a beautiful setting! Love the attention to detail! We visit usually twice a week and love it. The host makes every attempt to create a safe, fun experience for your dog. Living here means rain...which can mean mud but the host has put wooden bridges with non-stick surface for crossing muddy or water areas (which my dogs ignored bit we appreciated haha!). Also put down hay to make crossing some small muddy areas easier. The little touches and the great area makes us regular visitors!

As usual, a wonderful experience! I'm blown away by how much maintenance and care are performed on the field, fence and trails. There are some muddy areas, and I wore boots, but it was dramatically better than I expected. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate being able to take my dogs (one who is deaf and has limited vision and the other can be people reactive) to such a large, fully fenced area where they can run, sniff, fetch and explore safely. Worth every penny.

We absolutely love this location!!! Best place to bring our rescue dog. He has quite a bit of anxiety from loud noises, which makes the location perfect for him. The area is out in the country away from loud noises - which makes it perfect. We love the open field, the trees and trail in the back. There is even has a water station for dogs!!! We’re able to walk our dog around unleashed and unbothered. Best place I’ve seen so far. Well worth the price. He’s already been twice this week!!! Looking forward to the next visit 😀

We have visited twice, and look forward to going again soon. There is both a large field, and a wooded area with trails. The trails are rugged but we'll marked and fun! There are trash cans, benches, lawn chairs, a water station... Really a fabulous place to bring the dogs. Thanks!

Awesome spot! My dog loved chasing her ball farther than I have ever had the space to throw it! And being able to let her run around on trails off leash in the woods was a rare treat. The field and woods were muddy (as stated in the description) but I didn't mind and my dog loved it. Barb did a great job at introducing us tp the property and pointing out the dryer areas of the field. I also really appreciated all the little bridges the she put up in muddy spots in the woods. Looking forward to our next visit!

She was easy to redirect but if you think it may be challenging for your dog to not engage in the fence barking I would avoid walking that section of the field. There were 3 marked parking spaces for this sniffspot making it easy to meet up with others. I'm excited to make this a regular walk for my pups as it's only 7 minutes from my house. But even for my dog reactive clients in Bellingham it is well worth the adventure!Amber T.

This sniffspot is huge and obviously well cared for by the host! We came after the week of nonstop rain, and were well prepared for it to be a bit wet (hiking boots, towels). Fun was had by all, and our pup loved the big field and running around the trails. Great place to practice training! Host was super quick to respond to messages and greeted us for our first visit. Absolutely worth the road trip and looking forward to visiting again (especially after some snow or in the summer!) The fencing around the field was well enforced and honestly the property is so large I didn’t see the plastic snow fencing on the sides of the woods but the host had walked it recently and seemed to often be checking it for any small rodent holes (reassuring to me as my dog is not reactive but is a bolter!) overall, loved this spot! A side note for any dogs that are noise reactive - there was a ‘shooting range’ in the distance that you could hear but my dog didn’t mind at all.

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.

You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
