As the fall starts to get colder and winter is upon us, we do plan to stay open for the winter. I can’t say enough about LK Farm! My dog was in heaven with having many options of where to run free: huge fields, forest trails along with other more open trails. Even though it is partially fenced, there is so much space that I found it easy to keep my dog at a safe distance to me and we did some nice work on his recall. We went near but did not go to the pond as it had some snow coverage and we couldn’t see the water, but we are planning to take full advantage of that in the spring! The outhouse was a nice bonus and very clean. We ordered a bone and it was great for chill time on our 40 min ride home and it’s still going strong. Our favourite spot so far! Thank you.

Our first time visiting this lovely spot. The host was very responsive answering all my questions ahead of our visit. It was cold but a beautiful sunny day and the trails are nicely sheltered and well marked. We had our dog on a 30 foot leash since I don’t trust his recall and that worked great. Even better if you can let your dog roam free. Several huge open fields to run in and sniff for voles under the snow. Thibbs was in heaven. I already booked another visit for next week!

Our second visit after a fresh snow and the lane and parking were well plowed and the trail was packed down by tractor wheels for easy walking. Good exercise for Thibbs to run through the fields knee deep in fresh snow. It was truly a winter wonderland! We left with some farm fresh eggs for breakfast on Christmas morning. Yummy!

I had so much fun here today with my German Shepard! She is reactive to other dogs so I struggle to find places to get her enough exercise without running into other dogs. Especially in the winter. A long portion of the pathway was nicely cleared for us to run down and chase sticks and the frisbee! The property was very pretty and easy to get to. And the host was very very sweet and communicative. I will definitely come back here with my dog! The perfect place to get some off leash exercise :-)
