There is a bench to sit on with a beautiful view! There were horses in the next field but they didn't come up to the fence - my dog can be reactive and she was curious about them but she was more interested in running around and sniffing. Fencing was secure although there were a couple small gaps mostly covered by rocks; not an issue for large dogs but a smaller or more mischievous/persistent dog might try to sneak through.
