55This location is simply perfect- trails are clean & the woods are absolutely beautiful! Mossy old tree stumps of very old growth, a beautiful creek that is dry right now, lots to sniff and room to explore and run! The location is out in the boonies and very easy to get to. On a hot day theres more than enough shade. Host has made everything perfect! My dog was in sniffy heaven!Shelly G.

55We had a wonderful time. It was great to know we would be alone. It’s not that big but you’re in the woods and we went around the trails a few times. It’s very beautiful and peaceful. At times we heard gunshots and maybe some construction or Weed whacking? Not from the owners but in the distance. It was Labor Day. I would still come back. I did forget to take pictures however! Everything was very well marked.Kathleen C.

55This place was incredibly stimulating for my dog! So many mini trails to roam and so many blackberries (we went mid September) to pick!! Nikita loved doing her zoomies and many of the trails looped back around so she came right back to me. Towards the end as she was getting tired, there was even dog safe bubbles to blow and she loved catching them.
Even though it was partially fenced, the shuberies/blackberry bushes were thick enough to keep my dog in. Marie U.

55Well, we knew there were farm animals nearby but didn’t realize where or how close. Wally had already taken off before we heard the goats bleating! They are safely fenced away but we would have kept him on leash in that area if we’d known. There was great signage in some areas but a couple where we weren’t sure if the property continued or if we were at the edge- knowing there’s another Sniffspot nearby we played it safe, but would have appreciated clearer markings. Overall a great visit, dogs had a blast running the trails and sniffing the sniffs, and we loved the water and amenity station complete with bubbles!! Thanks Erin!Amelia J.

55Frank and I had a great time here on a sunny fall day! Lots of zoomies and sniffs. Once he calmed down we practiced recall and heel on the trails - I like that they all loop back to the same place. He got so tired we ended up leaving a little early. Will be back for sure!Madeline K.

55We love this spot and this is our 3rd or 4th time back. The trails are great. There are a few open grassy areas to rest and/or play more fetch. The fire pit is a nice touch!Isabella D.

55This is a beautiful spot, with some nice grassy areas to chase balls and fun trails to explore. I have been here a couple of times before on Fridays, and it's always been very quiet. This time we visited on a Saturday, and the neighboring kid playing on his dirt bike and the gun shots somewhere nearby were a little too much for my noise-sensitive dog. This spot is lovely, though, and I will try to come back on a weekday, when perhaps it might be a little more quiet.Sara E.

55Great Place for a game of hide n seek in the woods and work on recall with our 50 lb 1 year old shepherd mix and our low profile dog (12lbs). plowed her way through the freshly fallen leaves, which she loves!StephanieAnne H.

55Sniffers: Please be responsible dog owners and remember to pick up your dogs poop! I stepped in two piles of poop and saw several other abandoned poo piles while exploring this beautiful secluded escape It was rather disgusting and frustrating to have to spend time picking it out of my shoes instead of enjoying the hiking trails with my dog. This is not a host problem, this is an irresponsible/lazy dog owner problem.
But I digress, we spent 2.5 hours here and the host does a lovely job of setting up this space with comforting amenities. A lot of thought and planning went into the sniff spot. I might contribute some strawberry roots for the community garden. I'm curious to see how they plan to develop the abandoned cottages at the entrance. It was fun to poke around the grounds and look at some of the abandoned relics. This land had a story and it was fun thinking about what history it had. My pup loved bounding through the trails, ferns, and crinkly fall leaves. We explored the dried up creek beds. It was not muddy when we went but it's been an unusually dry November. We practiced some truffle hunting scent training out in the woods and sniffed all the smells. This would be a berry pickers paradise in summer time. Overall a very "Tranquil Forest" if you need some solitude with just the dog.Nikki B.

55We always have a great time here. Our boy learned that he could put his ball into a pipe hole in the creek and that it comes out across the way. Well, my puppies, getting his ball we noticed there is some barbwire in the ground over there so please be cautious. That’s very scary now I have to try to keep him away from that area. Amber B.

55This was a great spot, and had some of the best amenities we've seen! The towels for drying off wet/muddy dogs were a super nice touch, and the fire was very nice on a brisk day. A few things of note for anyone with reactive dogs: we did hear the neighbor's goats bleating along the property line which was fine for us but could be hard for a dog with high prey drive. I also think that there was a critter hiding under the house, our dog was very upset we wouldn't let her try to dig under to find it (she got over it). Lastly, we were able to head loud consistent banging for a portion of our visit (I think nearby logging?) - this of course wasn't anything the host could have controlled, but good to know for any dogs with noise sensitivity (it put ours on edge a bit). Overall a great and thoughtfully put together sniffspot that we would definitely visit again! You can tell that the hosts really care about the experience they are providing. Claire H.

FAQ about our Shoreline dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Shoreline area range from $4.0 and $4.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is Cozy Yard Friendly Owner near Greenwood. The most expensive dog hiking trail is Cozy Yard Friendly Owner near Greenwood. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
