55What a great place to run and play. Adam met us at the gate. He was very welcoming and introduced us to the sniff spot. Two acres of fenced and dog friendly space. We are looking forward to visiting again.Debby T.

55Perfect place for a curious dog to sniff around and find new smells. Big part of the space can be used for fetch. Home owners were very helpful and accomodating.Bobby L.

55This is a wonderful spot to play. My dog loved romping among the trees and splashing in the puddles. As to be expected in Oregon’s wet season, rain boots or proper footwear is recommended! We will definitely be back! Leticia G.

55This was a big spot! I have a big dog and there was tons of space for him to chase his ball and sniff around. We stuck mostly to the back which had more trees. Samantha B.

55Wow!! We’ve tried out a number of SniffSpots and this is by far the best one! It truly is fully fenced with a lot to sniff and explore. There were dogs across the street that barked, but my dog loved it. We had a great time and will be back! Candace H.

55Great first experience for us using SniffSpot! Christine (hope I spelled it right) welcomed us as we pulled up and touched base with us as we left to make sure everything went well. My pups appreciated the toys found all over the property and there was lots of space to explore. Could hear neighbor dogs behind the property but they were far enough off that my dogs paid no attention.Lauren K.

55This was a lot of fun! There was a lot of space to run, the fencing seemed fine for my dog though she wasn’t ever trying to get out, and the owner was nice, introduced himself and oriented to the property on arrival. It is their home though, so you are driving up to a house and parking in a driveway. Most of the space is behind the house and there was PLENTY of room to run! We definitely hope to return!Rachel M.

55This was so fun for my dogs! Definitely fully fenced, lots of room for the pups to run and sniff and easy to get to from Eugene. The only potential downside for some people may be that the neighbor’s big dog was right up at the fence a handful of times. There was definitely enough space to redirect my selective dog to another part of the property when he noticed, but that may be something to consider if you have a reactive dog with poor recall. Five star experience from us though, thanks Adam! Andrea I.

55Great communication with host. This Sniffspot is a residential property so the yard contains things like a play structure, etc, but the property is large and there was plenty of room for the dogs to run! Our local group of collie owners met here for a playdate and everyone had a great romp. The collies enjoyed playing and checking out all the sniffs. We would go back!Jaclyn R.

55Beautiful place, lots of trees and flowers, mini puddle for quick dog dip. Very attentive and friendly host. Was a bit of a drive from Pleasant Hill but worth it. Don’t miss this place!Deborah B.

55This was our first Sniffspot experience, and my dog Grace's first time off leash anywhere outside of our family backyard(s). She's an anxious pup that is upset easily by other dogs and strangers, so we were very happy to find this host ... she could explore on her own without fear. There were shady spots to lay down, wide open spaces to run and so much to investigate she wasn't even interested in the ball I brought. I was happy she could just relax and be a dog in a new place. It was definitely a good experience for her! Eileen S.

55This is one of my favorite SniffSpots. There's a nice mix of open space and trees. If you have a toy dog, there's a fun surprise of toys scattered about.
Two out of three visits, there were dogs barking across the street. That was OK for my dog, but if you have a very dog-sensitive dog, beware.
It's just a relaxing experience with lots for a dog to enjoy and get a good run in. I really like the host too. He's very friendly and supportive. And he's doing a ton to continue to improve the land/area. That's something I really appreciate. The area has been better every time we have gone back.Jeannine B.

55This is a *great* sniffspot. It's a big area. The fencing ranges from adequate to good. There's lots of trees as well as open areas. The owner is very nice and allowed us to turn on the spigot on the back of the house to let my dog drink. It's a fair price. I was just overall tickled with the experience.
There are three dogs across the front of the street who bark quite a bit every time we went to the front of the house. But the bulk of the sniff area is in the back and the dogs stopped barking when we went out of sight.
I'll definitely be going back.Jeannine B.

55As always, this is our favorite SniffSpot! Lots of room for the doggos to run and play safely in a fenced area. Susan provides balls for fetch with a chuck-it, sanitation bucket for the used balls, poo bags, hand wipes, water for the doggos and chairs for their humans. Valerie P.

FAQ about our Veneta dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Veneta area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 15 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 5 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
