There are a few bits of barbed wire around that I was worried my dog would run into (he’s kind of blind though). Definitely plan for mosquitoes just like any other wooded area in the summer in Minnesota, especially since it's close to water. I put on Deet beforehand, and it was fine. There were also spots that were a bit muddy due to recent rain, but with some hiking boots and a towel for your pups' feet, no problem. There is also a large grassy area where you park to run through for paw cleaning at the end. About an hour drive for us, so we probably won't be able to come back as often as we'd like, but we'll definitely be back. Thanks!Christy R.
