We have a spacious, secure private fenced and peaceful yard, in a quiet and dog friendly neighborhood. Easy parking on the street outside the house, and a side entry gate. Patio heated available during the colder months. Our yard has sunny areas, as well as plenty of trees providing natural shade and much needed coolness during those hot humid summer days. A natural wooded yard that borders a county park on one side, with a 7ft wooden privacy fence all the way around the property, the front and neighbor side sections are double sided, so a perfect solution for reactive pups and a side entry gate. Completely pesticide/herbicide/fertilizer free yard! Our ground cover is soft playground wood chips, soft for all pup paws, specifically designed to be comfortable for all kinds of furbabies! The playground chips are a natural tick repellent. We are open during rainy weather too for those of you with rain loving pups! The overhangs, patio umbrella and tree coverage keep paw parents dry too! Added bonuses, the chips dry quickly, there's no mud or slippery grass. You can also enjoy a deck with a patio table, cushioned chairs, lawn chair seating and a hammock! We also provide poop bags, doggie wipes and towels, extra dog water bowls, kiddie pools and outdoor spigot with hose for water bowl refills or hose play in the warmer months, elevated feeders for the pups who cannot bend down very well to drink and a few refreshments for humans too! Endless amounts of smells and sniffing opportunities from all the local wildlife that frequent our yard. Good space for running, playing chase, frisbee, tennis ball, chuck it, for the energetic pups, and plenty of space for meandering, or just lounging around under the shade or in sun spots for the more mature pups! The public park next to us has several wooded trails, so if your pup has any energy left, it is a nice park to walk. **Our priority is opening up our space for your furbabies to enjoy to their heart's content. If you need to bring your human children too, please make sure they are well behaved, respectful of our property and possessions, and under your mature supervision at all times! Smoking, vaping, alcohol and glass containers are NOT permitted at our spot. All 100% of booking proceeds are donated to rescue groups saving neglected/abused/sick/healthy unwanted pets dumped in overcrowded high kill shelters - including recurring monthly donations to Pets With Disabilities; Lizzy's Lodge Rescue; Miri's Legacy; Angel's Among Us Pet Rescue; Shadows Sanctuary; Southside SPCA; HART; and Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation. It’s spring already so we’re back to treating the yard with all natural, pesticide-free, pet and human safe WONDERCIDE flea/tick/mosquito protection! We will continue to apply this into the Fall. Additionally, thanks to some great guest feedback, we just added 2 new chairs for seating along the left side of the fence (in the shade). Feel free to move any of the 3 chairs wherever you’d like! Newly fenced yard (done in October 2020) - safe and secure! ALL the dogs say it’s the BEST, and they don’t want to leave. Legitimately. Our girl Luna won’t come in sometimes, and daycare and boarding dogs don’t like leaving. It’s pretty amazing. We are so happy to be able to offer and share our backyard with other dogs!!

*As of 1/25/25, the backyard is about half grass, half covered with snow. Furniture in the seating area on the lower deck is completely cleared off and available for your use, as well as the fire pit! We should have this weekend also.* We have somewhere between a third to a half acre in our backyard, fully enclosed with a 5 to 7-ft wood fence. We have shady spots, but there also aren't too many trees, so there is plenty of room to play fetch and run around. Amenities include two different size jumps, a balance beam, a slide, a spring-loaded tug rope attached to a tree, a small dog tunnel, furniture on the lower deck for you to sit down, a hammock, and a trampoline. Overall, it is fairly flat and dogs love to 𝙧𝙪𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮 for hours at a time not to mention all the great sniffing spots. There are open areas for dogs to stretch their legs and chase each other and flowers, shade and seating for their human companion(s). There is a 𝙢𝙖𝙣-𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 (more detail below) in the back that depending on rainfall, may be running full or just at a trickle. It is ideal for your pup to explore and cool off in. The yard offers plenty of great 𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩 opportunities to take tons of pictures throughout the various seasons. The yard is a 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙃𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩®, we are trying to help nature where and when we can. The flower beds have been designed for local critters - birds, turtles, pollinators, etc so absolutely no killing of any bees, butterflies, spiders, turtles, snakes, birds or other wildlife you may find. It also means you will likely encounter gnats, mosquitos and possibly ticks - all great bird food but not so nice for us humans and our pups. So please be sure your pup is current on their preventatives. We do provide bug spray for you to use - just be sure to use in the lawn and not near any of the flower beds. In the summer months grass may get a little taller to help out the fireflies. If you can, take a cool pic to share - we'd love to see it. Do a photo safari. 𝗩𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦: To help ensure a safe environment for visiting pups and our own, guests will need to provide current 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 for rabies and DHPP (distemper, parvo, etc) for EACH dog visiting. Each dog visiting must have received their full round of puppy vaccines AND must be at least 6 months old. If you have questions, feel free to reach out. Once on file, you are good to go until their renewal date. If the vaccination info is not received 1 hour prior to your start time, your reservation will be cancelled. If you have questions, feel free to reach out. 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦 & 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 - Typically set for 1 hour appointments and reserved for Members. If appointments remain available, I will open some time to non-members the Thu/Fri before. If you are interested in an appointment longer than 1 hour, please reach out and we'll see if we can accommodate. 𝗦𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦 - We don't offer expanded discounts but you will get the basic 10% discount if you are participating in the program. It can be used in conjunction with a Membership. Happy to answer any questions. 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠 - This is a man-made stream that that typically runs in the warmer months and is initially filled with either city water or rainfall. That said, Mother Nature adds to it so we do recommend your pup have his/her 𝙇𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙤 vaccine. The stream is usually shutdown or just a trickle in the winter months with some water remaining at the end to help support the frogs overwinter. Please do not allow digging or rough play in the stream - we want to keep it in good shape for all our guests to enjoy and avoid costly repairs. If it is important to your visit that the stream is running and at what level (full/trickle) please reach out to the Host to check its status. 𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧 - Our site is set for a 4 dog limit. If you would like to bring additional dogs, please send a message. The request will be considered on a case by case basis. If you want a key date/time, I recommend securing it with a reservation for one dog and then updating the reservation once we have talked. 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 - There are some spots at the bottom of the fence a small dog (cat size) might be able to get under - they are meant for our cats and other wildlife. If you are bringing a small dog, let me know and we can block the openings ahead of time. 𝗩𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧- Maximum of 2 vehicles per reservation. If a 3rd vehicle will be brought, please select and add "Extra F - Extra Vehicle" to your reservation and send us a note so we can make sure there is sufficient space. 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗡 - Children under 18 are to be supervised at all times. Parents are responsible for any and all damage their child causes. 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗦 - Extras will change depending on the season. Parking: Our driveway accommodates up to four cars. For easy access to the yard, please pull all the way up to the fence to access the gate. Reopening the 1/2 acre fenced in lawn area. The unfenced areas are also available for your dogs to use. Arrival Notes: • Parking: Please park in front of the garbage cans located by the garage. • Dog Etiquette: Kindly keep your dogs leashed and off the front lawn. They can relieve themselves in the designated circle or elsewhere if necessary, but please minimize their presence on the front lawn. • Dog Waste: Dispose of all bagged dog waste in the trash can with the black lid in front of the garage before leaving. • Entrance and Exit: Access the field from either the path behind the garage or the gravel path on the right hand side of the driveway. The side yard next to the garage is off-limits. • Supplies: Dog bags are available in the boxes attached to the fence. There is a water bowl next to the hose bib for your convenience. Additionally, a picnic table, chairs, bug spray, and hand sanitizer are provided for your use. • Further Exploration: At the bottom of the stairs, another single gate with more dog bags provides access to the field, creek, and wooded walk. Please leash your dogs beyond this point unless they have excellent recall. Wildlife such as deer, foxes, raccoons, rabbits, hawks, and even beavers may be encountered. • Paths: To the left, a path leads through the woods, up the hill, and around the garage. On the right-hand side of the field, a gravel path leads back up to the driveway. You are welcome to explore the property with your dog(s). Description: • Property Overview: The property spans five acres and includes half an acre of fully fenced lawn, wooded paths, and an open field bordered by Popes Head Creek. Dogs enjoy running and playing off-leash in the fenced lawn area, and there are designated spots like a fire hydrant in the pea gravel area and a sandbox for their use. The creek offers a refreshing spot for dogs to explore and cool off. The property also provides numerous picturesque opportunities in all seasons. Dog Toys: • You are welcome to use the toys I just ask that you return them before you leave. Dog Limitations: • Limit: We allow up to 4 dogs per reservation. If you wish to bring more or arrange a play date, please contact us to discuss it. Vehicle Limitations: • Vehicles: Each reservation allows a maximum of 2 vehicles. If you plan to bring a third vehicle, please add "Extra - Extra Vehicle" to your reservation and inform us to ensure adequate space. Child Supervision: • Children: Children under 18 must be supervised at all times. Parents are liable for any damage caused by their children.
