There was water and a kiddie pool available--we can't wait for the warmer months to use this! There was ample seating for the humans. The space was wheelchair accessible, so my partner could join in the fun. There were other dogs and owners in the store, training area, and parking lot. We appreciated this opportunity to work with our dog in a safe space with multiple distractions. 55Great dog run, perfect for chuck it’s and fetch. I only had one dog but the space is definitely big enough to accommodate more. The staff at Paw by Paw were so kind and helpful. (You will have to walk your dog into the shop for your first visit and may briefly encounter another leashed dog in the area.) Huge bonus - the yard lighted and they have a couple of evening slots. Great for when daylight is limited! There is a water bowl and faucet for fresh water, poop bags and scoop, and a picnic table. There was a well stocked clean up and disposal station, too. Plenty of seating. I brought my own toys. I did not bring, or use, any mosquito repellent. There were a lot there at 6:30-7:30pm. It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks.
