55George and the space were great! Plenty of space for the dogs to run around, great place to practice recall at a distance, some shade and water for the dogs to cool off under. This place was recommended by my trainer and I'd definitely go back!Eric G.

55This place was wonderful and the host was so nice! I would just advise to be a bit careful in some spots as there are is uneven ground in some spots and holes...all covered by grass so not readily visible. Not a big deal just walking around, but something to be aware of if you are throwing the ball for your dog. There's plenty of flat ground for that, but walk the property first to get the lay of the land. His wife also has a small little shop there where she makes her skincare line from the herbs they grow on property! I got some great stuff and loving it! Definitely a fun place to come to!Heidi G.

55My dogs finally got to realize a life long dream of theirs here, being field cows.
In all seriousness though, this place is awesome. Located in a relatively remote part of Longmont you feel like you are getting away a bit, without going too far. The sniffspot itself is located on a little lavender/herb farm that has great views of the mountains and surrounding farms. The space is large, well kept and adequately fenced. George, the owner, also reassured me that if my dogs did manage to escape, it wouldn't be a problem to go over to the neighbors and retrieve them. There is also a great little "foyer" or entrance to the larger part of the sniffspot that is easy to wrangle your dogs into when you are ready to leave.
My only complaint is there isn't much shadw overall, so bring your sunscreen and some water.
We'll definitely be back!Rachel P.

55My only regret was leaving my phone in the car! George was a considerate and thoughtful host and the property is a beautiful, peaceful gem in rural Longmont. The dogs absolutely loved sniffing and running around in the tall grass. The mowed paths were perfect for me to walk. One of my pups is reactive and the amount of space between everybody else was perfect. The fences were totally secure and consistent. There is a little bit of shade, which we all appreciated in the summer heat. We will definitely be back! Cassie D.

55George was very helpful about getting us to the Sniffspot since it’s behind his house. The spot was well maintained and tired my pups out! We will be back for more fun ☺️Shannon N.

55We loved this place! A great balance of mowed and tall grass for the dogs to explore, run and roll in. The water bowls were appreciated after all that running. Two of our dogs are reactive so this is an excellent alternative for them to enjoy the outdoors. We will be back!Julie M.

FAQ About Longmont Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 2% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Longmont area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 309 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 414 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
