55Thank you for the awesome experience. We all enjoyed the evening at your lovely Sniffspot. We felt safe enough to have our dogs off leash and they enjoyed running around. Thanks for the shade and providing water. We will definitely visit again, and the view is breathtaking. Oscar B.

55Up front it may seem a little pricey. But there aren't many options close to Lyons and Estes Park. So considering the price of gas, and other options are 20 miles one way and another hour of our time , plus member discount it's all the same. And they have farm animals and farm activities going on. I enjoy the animals more than Scooby I think. I just missed the Alpaca shearing! Usually greeted by one of the owners and very pleasant experience all around. Worth the price of admission. Will be a regular Scooby Sniffspot.John K.

55Something for everyone!
My old dog really enjoyed sniffing everything and checking out the other animals on property.
The front section of the fenced off area was large enough for my border collie pup to play kickball. We didn’t explore the back fields this time.
The cows didn’t seem to mind our presences at all. Alpacas and goats seemed entertained by the dogs lol
Drive out is gorgeous and the property itself is wonderful and easy to locate. I appreciated Hannah giving us a run down of the space upon arrival.
Will definitely be back, my dogs had a great time! Bree E.

55This place was great! Very well fenced in 10 acres. They met us on our first visit to give us the lay of the land. Goats, cows and horses on the other side of the fence are very used to dogs and no issue at all. Our pup had a great time. We’ll come again! Katie C.

55This spot was worth the drive from Denver! My dog had SO much fun, it was the perfect amount of space for an energetic spaniel. He sniffed out prairie dogs, ran his heart out playing fetch, and met his first goats, alpacas, and cows. The livestock were clearly used to dogs and were completely unfazed by any barking. We’ll definitely make the journey out here again! Megan H.

55Really great place with tons of room for dogs to run, explore, and chase rabbits and prairie dogs. The owner was very accommodating and put the barn animals away for us since my dog is super reactive and would have been obnoxious. There’s a little gazebo to sit under to get out of the sun and there is fresh water available for the dogs. Very beautiful and relaxing place!Melanie B.

55We had so much fun here! Tons of room for our dogs to run and play, secure for escape artists too. Beautiful views of the mountains and a really quiet area. The hosts are so kind and accommodating. We were not sure how our dogs would do with their animals, so they put them away for our time there. Our dogs had the time of their lives sniffing, running, playing. We are really excited to visit again soon! Highly recommend.Laura M.

55We’ve visited the farm several times now and each time we leave smiling and the dogs happy and tired. The property is laid out well with a pergola for water breaks and sitting in the shade, the farm animals on the side - there if your pup is interested and not phased by eager sniffs and barks, and a large field area for getting in lots of exercises running after prairie dogs. We look forward to many return trips!Juan A.

55Plenty of room to roam. Area can be divided by gates into smaller areas. This spot is 5 miles from home. Most are closer to 30. The farm animals are the main attraction. My rescue has apparently not been introduced to wild animals ( deer elk fox in our yard drive him crazy ) so being able to get up close with the goats and alpaca is good training/therapy. He was ready to go long before our hour was up and has slept all day since getting back home so mission accomplished. John K.

55This is definitely our favorite spot yet! Our dogs loved being able to bark at the animals. All three of my dogs had such great enrichment. One dog pretending to herd, one trying to hunt prairie dogs, and one with all the space to run! Rachel & Dillon L.

FAQ About Lyons Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 2% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Lyons area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 271 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 371 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
