55Wow this spot was amazing, where to start? It’s huge - says five acres but felt bigger. There are three fenced fields. The fields are all fenced with cattle fence so a dog could get through the fence if they wanted to but it provides a good guideline. We didn’t hear or see any dogs or other animals or people. Didn’t see or hear any chickens. The fields are hay fields that are currently cut short so they were great for Toshii to sniff around and hunt for mice. Soba was able to sniff and play fetch. I would recommend wearing boots and long pants if the grass is growing. I assume the host will regrow the grass so you may want to check with them on the length for the future. We will definitely visit this spot again when we are in the area!David A.

55Awesome spot for our reactive dog! So much freedom & sniffing for a sweet pup who doesn’t get to be off leash often. Lots of variety for exploring! We will definitely be back. Lindsay W.

55Hero had the BEST one on one day with mom at Dexter’s bark park! All of the farm animals are so very patient and kind and were very tolerant of my boy barking with excitement at them. Thank you! Carrie R.

55This was an awesome spot for our pups. We were a little nervous because our dogs are sometimes unpredictable being under 2 and absolutely lose their minds when they see deer in the yard. This was a good spot for socializing our dogs with other animals and exploring a new space. The fencing was definitely adequate and didn’t let our dogs even consider jumping or trying to climb through or over. We loved this space and will be returning for more fun and exercise!Kelsi M.

55We have been to quite a few of the sniffspots around the Olympia area. This one is still our favorite, so we make the drive down. A pool has been added for the summer, and both dogs took quick dips to cool off while playing. Lots of seats in the shade and sun, and plenty of tows. Emily T.

55Just a little over a half hour from Olympia, Dexter's is fantastic. It has a very secure, 2 gate system for entering. It is fully and securely fenced. My dog was intrigued by all the farm animals at first, secured in their own field, then finally let loose and ran to his hearts content. Well kept grassy area with lots of toys, water, benches for the hoomans to sit and relax and a porta potty. We will be back on a regular basis. Thanks for sharing your space with us!

55I recently adopted a very shy 4 yr old Aussie mix, who is an escape artist. That said, I haven't found a place where I felt safe enough to let her off leash to run. I felt safe and secure in this area and was able to let her run free. All the necessary amenities are right there (water, poop bags, trash can, sanitary lotion, etc). This is a great location for shy and fearful dogs to stretch their legs and build confidence. One note of caution is that it is near a semi-busy street, so there is some traffic noise. Otherwise it is perfect! I will definitely bring my dog back. Kim T.

55Having a clean, beautiful place to bring our 14 year old ol girl to have an adventure and take in new smells and sights in a controlled, safe way is an absolute gift. There’s no way to put a price on these moments and we are deeply thankful to be able to have them. Watching her peacefully watch the goats and horse is something I will never forget! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ Carrie R.

55Dont let the acreage fool you!! It may be smaller than what other people offer, but it has so much variety and amenities it has become our new favorite place! They get to see animals through the fence, and the owner will put out sniff treats of fur or feathers for ypur pups to find. Bathroom on site is great and places for pups to dig are huge bonuses. Check them out!Olivia C.

55Second time with our dogs out to this location. Large field with plenty of toys and water for the dogs. Seating available for the dog parents. FYI: There is a large, orange plastic ball on the property. Don’t be like me, don’t kick it. It’s hard plastic, not a light rubber 😂. Carina R.

55Awesome spot. My dogs had a great time and I was able to relax in peace with my newborn while they ran around. The privacy to not have to worry about other dogs like at a traditional dog park is worth every penny. Fence was very nice and secure and there was lots of sitting spots for me as well as a covered area should it have rained. I loved watching the horses and pigs nearby and was amazed there was no farm smell at all. The place was very clean with toys, water, a portapotty and trash accessible. Definitely will be coming back. Brittany E.

55Dexter's Bark Park is AMAZING! The space was incredibly clean (no leftover poos!) and there were tons of enrichment items throughout the sniffspot. I love that Melissa has add ons too. We chose the pool and the sniffari! Sassy & Tucker loved it! Ashly D.

FAQ about our Rochester dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Rochester area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 112 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 16 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
