55Ok so, in normal context, calling someone's backyard a HIDDEN GEM is probably a weird thing to say.. But, this place seriously is a hidden gem for anyone (or any dog) looking for a personal dog park in Salem! There are so many toys and agility things and tons of other interesting things that will make the hour pass very quickly, and very enjoyably!
We have never used Sniffspot before today, but I work across the street and often bring my dogs along. They were full of energy this morning, so I finally decided to check this place out. I am so impressed and thankful that a place like this exists to bring my puppies to on my lunch break. Ayla M.

55Great space. My dog really enjoyed the wooded areas and playing fetch. He wasn’t interested in the agility equipment but it was a great opportunity to explore it with no pressure . It’s a little far for us but if we venture up that way again and he settles a bit, I’d love to explore the scent options more.Lori H.

55Fully fenced and escape proof for my 2 boys! The wooded areas are a huge bonus and my boys loved exploring out there. Host has toys for sale and lots of extras for free. Even bug spray, towels, kiddie pool, hose and more. We will definitely be back - regularly! Andrea W.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
