55We had a great time on Barry’s trail! He had signs and markers to keep the path obvious. There were plenty of spots to take our dog down to check out the lake as well. The shade and creek also kept the entire trail a very nice temperature even as it was getting over 90 degrees outside. We would highly recommend!Jacob F.

55Primo and I had an absolutely amazing experience in this Sniffspot. The space was more incredible than described —spacious, peaceful, and filled with natural, rustic charm. For us the highlight was definitely the creek, there’s a large pond also! Primo was in heaven, splashing around, running through the creek and just enjoying the freedom to explore in a safe and private environment!! He would splash around in the creek and run through the trees doing zoomies. Roll in the leaves, he couldn’t be happier!
The creek has different depths levels so little and big can enjoy the creek. This spot gave us the perfect escape from the city and I left with one happy (and tired!) pup.
I highly, highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for serene, dog–friendly oasis! I’m definitely going back!❤️❤️❤️❤️Linda P.

555 Paws Out of 5 — A Pup’s Paradise!
Hi, my name’s Booper, and let me just say: Barry’s sniffspot is basically the Disneyland of dog dreams — minus the lines and with way more mud (the good kind).
First off, the pond? Top tier. I strutted right up to it like I owned the place, flopped down for an A-list sunbathing session, and contemplated my life’s choices (mostly about treats and squirrels). Perfect amount of sun, a slight breeze ruffling my ears — pure canine bliss.
Then there’s the creek. OH, the creek. I wandered along it like some noble explorer, sniffing every rock, every stick, every suspicious leaf. The trail was clearly marked, so even when my human was taking way too many pictures of me being majestic, we never got lost. 10/10 would sniff again. The perfect off leash day out with plenty of squirrels to test my recall and off leash skills.
Also important: the humans won’t get lost either. The path is super easy to follow — even for humans who can’t sniff their way back to the car.
No fence, but honestly, who needs one when there’s so much space to frolic, zoom, and ponder existential things like “why don’t squirrels want to be my friend?”
If you’re looking for a place to unleash your inner wolf (or sun-worshipper), Barry’s 5 acres is where it’s at.
Already dreaming of my next trip back — might even roll in some more mysterious smells next time. (You’re welcome, car seat.)
Paw-sitively perfect.

55I brought my 4 small dogs here for two hours and they loved it… the time flew by… lots of water play, running in the woods, and exploring. Everything I want my crew to experience in contrast to the heavily controlled, leashed environments they are exposed to during the week. I couldn’t be happier, they were safe and had lots of fun… we are definitely returning!marilyn d.

FAQ About Acworth Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 15% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Acworth area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 626 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 927 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
