This is a very quiet place on a country road where your dogs can be off leash and free to explore nature. The full four acres are surrounded by a 5 foot fence and there is a small creek running through the property. There is a wide spot in the creek that is easily the most popular spot for our canine visitors! There are larger fields and open areas for your dogs to practice their retrieving, and there are many paths in the woods for hiking. The beginning of each path is marked with quartz stones to show you the way. You will also find several benches scattered throughout the property so that you can take a load off while your dogs run and play. When it rains the property can be quite wet in some areas, so bring boots and a towel to clean off your muddy (but happy!) dog. There is a full competition size agility field within the four acres. The agility equipment is completely fenced in and will be accessible only to those who have had at least one formal beginner's agility class. This is to keep you and your dog safe and to prevent misuse of the equipment. Please message the host when you book the spot and before your first visit to discuss your agility experience if you are wanting to access the equipment. **I would really like for your first visit to be on a weekend or a Tuesday (my day off) so that I can meet with you to show you some details about the property and discuss parking. After the first visit, book whenever you want! If you absolutely cannot make it these days for your first visit, we can work something out. 🙂

We loved it! I loved the convenience to I-40, that makes it an easy drive from Clemmons or Winston-Salem. Sylvia loved the wide open spaces, tramping through woods, and the freedom of being off leash. There is a great mix of sunny and shaded areas, and a covered picnic area, so you can be comfortable in hot or cold weather. I could spend all day on the swing, in the shade! 5 stars and 2 paws up!

My dogs had a great time here! There's a wooded area where lots of sniffing and exploring can be done, along with a grassy area for one of our pups to play fetch freely. We did some recall training with our dogs here, since there are so many things for them to become absorbed with and found this to be perfect for this type of training. There's a few spots around the property to sit, and my husband and I were able to eat lunch while our dogs sniffed around. This is a great spot!

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
