55This is a great spot to get a hike in while the dogs run and explore. A beautiful property that the owners share with other dog owners. We were greeted at the gate and given a quick rundown of the property. It is helpful to have a GPS app on your phone where you can drop a pin where you park just in case you are out hiking for a while. Plenty to explore. We will need 2 hours next time. :)Bradie M.

55Made our way down to McKay creek today, our first time going on that trail! Note: this trail is very steep and there are plenty of loose rocks and loose patches of dirt. It’s easy to slip and fall so take your time. Wear sturdy shoes! It’s well worth it though. Also be ready to hike straight back up, it’s definitely a good work out!Chantalle v.

55Took my young energetic boy and my older girl (who usually can only walk a block or two at a time) and this beautiful space met both of their needs perfectly. My girl walked and rested while my boy ran back and forth, found trails off to the side of the road, ran up hills, and nibbled on grass. It was great to be somewhere they could both enjoy together.Mishelle R.

55Really enjoyed our first trip to this spot. Appreciate the 2 different seating areas along the hiking paths as good points to force the pups to rest and also enjoy the beautiful views on the property. Looking forward to booking again soon.Rowan E.

55Spent one of the pups 11th birthday here. She got to explore and just have fun. This is a beautiful place with a beautiful view. Trails are great. Can't wait to return and do a longer time because an hour isn't enough time to do a lot of exploring Max O.

55What an absolutely magical spot! We drove an hour to get here and it was so worth it. So many trails, wide-open space, and total peace and quiet. We booked an hour and a half, which was perfect, but I think next time we’ll do 2 hours because I didn’t want to leave! It’s an easy drive from Portland, just note that the last few miles are on a gravel road (but it’s very well maintained). This was the perfect place to let my boy enjoy some off-leash freedom in a beautiful setting. Cannot wait to come back!

55This is one of my favorite sniffspots! You're essentially hiking private forest trails. We've been twice and have explored maybe 1/4 of what it has to offer. The drive is intense, lots of windy gravel roads so if your car can't handle it dont book! Hailey R.

55What a treat to have a lovely walk in the woods with our reactive pupper. He loved all the sniffs, and we loved the wildflowers and birds. The 3/4 mile gravel road is an easy walk. Some of the side trails have a little more up and down. We didn’t finish exploring so we’ll have to come back!Wendy M.

55Woah! This place is great! So gracious to meet us upon arrival to get us quickly oriented to the expansive space. Tons of great trails (no small effort from the looks of it - really nicely done), a creek, bird song - a perfect morning for my two knuckleheads. They are pooped… we will be back!Kayla M.

55Kali and I love this place! We booked 2 hours to make sure we had time to hike and explore. We could have spent longer. All the main paths are very well kept and there’s lots of smaller paths to take detours for more exploring. I reached out to Lisa before our arrival because I had a question about the Host Rules and she was super responsive. She also suggested an app that has the trails on it so we could find our way around. I could see how it would be easy to get a little lost. The app was helpful and I appreciated the suggestion. We will definitely return for future adventures! JENNIFER Q.

55Second visit and stayed longer this time so we got to explore way more. I have a very tired dog now. I'm still not sure we've gotten to everything but more next time. Loving all the new stuff too. We got to relax for a bit at the lookout. Sharon S.

FAQ About North Plains Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?

All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 0% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the North Plains area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 206 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 367 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby.
