Come down the first driveway. You will see a white address sign “Windenfir” You will then see a sign “Windenfir Training Field.” Parking avail in front of gate, near the exit, or in front of garage (just not blocking garage door). Agility course, tennis balls, fresh water, and poo buckets available. Hose is on if not freezing temps. After going though Windenfir training field gate you will see the back gate with a sign “Windenfir Dog Pasture." Great place to explore and let them sniff. Looking to the right when out in the pasture, the neighbors Goldens occasionally bark. Two fences between properties on this side. Owner usually calls them when barking. The pasture has goat droppings so no surprises. This is a farm :) Chickens and goats in separate area and visible to dogs (see photos). Don’t be surprised if they come up to the fence to see what’s going on. The animals have been raised around dogs and are not bothered by them. They would come out if they could. Very nice field fencing in pasture. Chain link/field fencing in training field. As of now the training field and pasture are muddy and slick in areas. Agility equipment can be slick also due to rain. Check pasture area if deciding to throw a ball/stick/small child :). Hard packed in areas and not level in some. Playhouse is open for photos and kids. Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, and a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk over logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over in places, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are two bridges over the creek, and we will be adding one more bridge at the far west end of the spot soon. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. We also provide snacks and beverages for humans and doggos! Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, a round metal table w/umbrella & 4 metal chairs, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is VERY secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We recently added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***We recently added a small bridge over the middle section of the creek! We will provide you and your best friend ( friends) with two acres of fully fenced property for your dogs to run free! Part of the property is Forest, where your dogs can forage, roam amongst the trees, dig, or just take in all the smells. Our visitors tell us It's the best of both worlds with the woods to roam and open areas to play fetch or practice on some of the agility equipment . Our space is very peaceful and beautiful, with lots of texture. We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, fresh water, toys, and poop bags. :) I have 3 dogs that roam the upper 2 acres of the property, which is my backyard. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, you will most likely hear my pups if they are outside. We have placed a privacy material along the fencing so that the dogs will not be able to have any contact, but they will see shadows through the material. My pups may bark and run up and down the fence line as you play in the forest if they hear you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will hear them. If you have aggressive or reactive dogs, PLEASE give me a heads up. An area next to it where guests who do the tests can post the day, time and results for other pup owners to see. An array of pup towels to dry off with and a drying line. A Muddy Paw Spa wash station b4 they get back in the car, multiple large shaded sitting areas. A 10’x 10’ sand filled dig box for the pups who just have a need to dig. A “Tug of War”spring loaded grab bar for pups who like a good tug of war. Multiple pup fresh water dispensers, with bowls for them. Multiple Doggie Poop Depots with poop bag dispensers so for your convenience, no need to carry that around while you explore the 15 acres. ( Fair Warning.. very low tolerance for a guest who does not pick up after their pup) Two wooded trails areas that we have just begun to develop for the wild side areas to explore. A Large professional Obstacle Course with most of the obstacles course pieces seen on U-Tube. Toy stations with a large variety of toys to select from (Please be considerate for the next guest, return them back to the station after use). Porta Potty for humans was hand sanitizer, lime dispenser to process waste and illuminate odor. Two Frisbee Gulf course areas under development. Bring your own disks to play while you pup sniffs,…or rent a back pac of putters, mid range and long range disks from us. Chair and fire pit areas, with a selection of firewood bundles that can be purchased. And more to come at Tail Waggers, (the Disney Land for pups.)

In the winter, the water level rises and turns into rushing torrents after a few days of heavy rain. For a new spot it was great. Simple but really secure and fully fenced. Also seating in the shade. No provided toys yet so bring some. Right next to a park so you will see dogs and people, and squirrels. My dog spent the time running the side facing the park getting worked up by the squirrels. My only suggestion for the host was to give instructions on how to get there and where to park. You go down a dead end street but then mailboxes are across the street from the little off road u go down, so I got pretty confused. Great start and I will be coming back

We had a wonderful time, lots of space to run and play. We did see some people and dogs on the other side of the fence, in the park, my dog is nonreactive to such but others may want to know in advance. Plenty of open space and some shaded areas for hot days like today. We will be returning.

Quiet spot fully fenced. I’ve got a very reactive Doberman and while it is next to a park I had zero issues with him and other animals. The spot is at the back kind of tucked away so nice for a good backyard game of catch.

I have visited three other sniff spot properties and this is just the best. I wish I had known about this spot before now. This was a very clean property, did not have to worry about stepping in another dog's waste and the yard was a great size with some nice nooks and crannies for my dog to explore and sniff. The great thing is that on one side of it borders a park which was quiet and serene. I would recommend this spot to other dog owners.

This a great spot! Very clean, well maintained and the fencing was secure. I really appreciated that the yard is tucked away on a dead end, but still easy to find. My only note would be that I wasn't sure where the best spot to park was, since it is a private lane and didn't want to block/use the driveway without permission. Street parking was ample and easy, so not much of a real issue. My pups had a great time zooming around, sniffing and playing fetch.
