55Such a great spot! It’s calm and peaceful for us humans and just the right amount of space for the dogs! There was a little bit of mud in the lower part of the yard, though the dogs did not mind it of course 😜 Just be sure to pack a towel with you if it recently rained and you’re visiting this spot! It was fun to see the horses and goats, even though one of our dogs is apparently not a fan of goats. Overall it was a great visit. The host has a beautiful backyard and we certainly hope to return! Everything went amazing! The hobby farm animals didn’t care at all that we were in the yard which I think helped our dogs be calm and just enjoy the space. The yard was big enough for my 85 pounder to really run and play with the toys that were provided. He really liked the Chuck-It and balls. The yard was maintained and we had no worries about our 11 pound doxie getting lost. LOL I didn’t see a single safety concern like I have at a few other areas we’ve visited. An hour didn’t feel like enough as none of us really wanted to leave. Next time we may pack a lunch and enjoy the sitting area. We will definitely be back!Dawn M.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
